Shurlock has already pointed out your obvious clanger but in fairness their Europa campaign was "enjoyable" in that they did get to play a big club or two. Not Fulham/Boro levels but nothing to regret.

FA Cup all day long. For a club our size we haven't won enough trophies. The event and celebrations of winning a trophy will outstrip the slightly odd feeling of finishing fourth. Which in reality is initially just the opportunity to lose a play off against Besiktas or Sporting Lisbon. Would be a great achievement but still feels like an achievement defined by Sky Sports News rather than a tangible one. It's fourth place. Not even a medal placing, except in Judo.

That's a bit of blow for the FA Cup then. Makes perfect sense but still a shame. But probably for the best in that it takes European spots from teams ill prepared for it - like Hull, where it seems to have done them no favours.

Boo hoo hoo stop bullying me.

It's always been possible for us to it in one dream season - Everton under Moyes being the template for that - and this is probably our best ever shot. Still think we will fall a bit short, and personally I'd rather win the FA Cup. But think we are nailed on for top six now and one of the traditional big boys are going to have to suck it up because they can't all catch us. And it's looking like either Liverpool or Spurs which makes it all the more enjoyable.
