Tadic coming from Holland via Serbia is relevant because while you think he can just drop in, I think he has a job to do to adjust to the league, the city, the club and his new team. He is a newcomer in all departments. It is very difficult to expect him to stroll in and take on the role of a massively significant member of our squad. In Wes' s world we just swap Lallana out, parachute Tadic in and bish bosh job done. Basically like changing batteries in a remote control, because Lallana's contribution as a Saints stalwart, figurehead and virtual one club man has no additional value that can't be easily replaced by a Serbian who couldn't point to Southampton on a map two months ago.
