All things considered I'd probably rather sell Lemina than Targett.

I didn't think the defence played too badly. New Danish guy looks ok, even Hoedt wasn't too bad last night. We should keep Targett. All in all looking good we seem to have a few good options. Low point was celta's 2nd, couldn't do much about the first though. We were the better team both halves, didn't deserve to be behind at half-time, definitely not 2-0. So played ok against a decent side, although maybe they are behind us in their preparations, think la liga starts later than premier league?

This thread is rediculous, I mean honestly. Let's ban people talking and having a laugh, and criticise every tiny little thing. Unbelievable. Can't really see how anyone can be a saints fan and not like Austin, seems like a top bloke, we're a much better team when he plays, and the way the other players react when he scores shows how much they clearly all like him. To be fair, everyone was moaning about us not being able to keep hold of players. The club started to try and do something about it. So they tried to sign players onto long term contracts as much as possible. I mean on the other hand it hasn't worked very well, players still seem to leave when they want to. But at least the club tried. They believed in him when they offered him the contract, now they don't. Another thought. With him being so hard to move on, should we just have kept him as number 2? I mean Gunn is an exciting signing for me. I don't know, decisions, decisions. Anyway with hindsight we can all come on here and talk like we're football experts, and we'd have run a club so much better . Having said that bit of a nightmare situation with Forster! Well can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs

I thin the post by Instant classic is one of the funniest I've seen. Taking into account he's a bit cocky he 'd be a bad signing. Obviously the whole idea behind the gamble would be he's a good goalscorer, we can get him for a good price, but he has injury problems. Anyway I reckon he could be worth a punt for 10 mill, but it's a gamble of course. We need a decent centre forward to cover and challenge Austin, 10 mill isn't much for the premier league nowadays.

Or another option Bertrand as part of back 3, and Targett as left wingback. Also could try Armstrong cm, and Redmond and Elyounoussi both start. Either way, sell Bouffal and Lemina and Gabbiadini, buy a cm, and a cf.

And I don't like the midfield. Would sell Lemina and sign a new holding midfielder. Someone tough and committed, a Wanyama type.

Didn't realise Jrod was record. Didn't think Van Dijk, or Wanyama were either. My theory was that all our record signings were total flops and we should't make any more. I thought it went Delgado, Ramirez, Osvaldo, Bouffal, Lemina, Carillo. Which is a real bad bunch, best being Ramirez, Bouffal or Lemina but basically all flops to say they are record signings.

Just don't see Hughes as a good long term appointment. Would much prefer Silva. Would prefer Bilic too.

Surely they will sack him now, Silva should be appointed tomorrow. We will definitely go down if he stays, might well stay up if we get Silva. All the money we would lose for dropping out of the premier league? Incredible if they don't get Silva in asap. I'm sure even Pellegrino wishes they'd put him out of his misery by now. Strange to sign Carillo by time he's match fit,Austin will probably be fit again! Probably would have been better to sign a centre-back? We had 2 winnable games, Brighton and West Brom. Didn't beat Brighton, if we don't win Saturday then time for Pellegrino to go? Bit surprised he didn't go when we lost to Palace. On such a bad run now. Marco Silva available, lucky to have such a perfect choice available. He was unlucky at Watford, was doing really well until Everton unsettled him and screwed up the whole situation. With the squad we have, if we get Silva in quick then I reckon we will stay up.

Thing is, no point sacking him if they haven't got anyone else lined up. Take Stoke for instance, sacked Hughes, then got turned down by O'Neill, then appointed Lambert. Really not sure I'd take Lambert over Pellegrino. Plus anyway it's been leaked to the press that the board are considering Pellegrino's position. So if we continue not picking up wins over next few weeks, then a) looks like they will get rid of him and b) I'm sure the fans will naturally start showing their displeasure anyway. So don't really agree with this planned protest, just let it happen naturally. btw Guan any info on the new incoming centre back that we so desperately need???

Just over a year ago we lost Fonte and Van Dijk, and results and confidence started to dip. We've replaced one of them with Hoedt, now please can we replace the other one, or we will continue being defensively weak. A centre forward with Austin injured is a necessity too, and I wouldn't say no to an attacking player (Walcott, or more likely Gaitan). But most important is a centre back. For me right now, Yoshida and Stephens are ok as squad players, but as first choice no way. I'm sure if we sign a quality centre back to play alongside Hoedt then we'll stay up. How can we lose Fonte and Van Dijk, and only sign Hoedt as a premier league team? Baffling, really. If we do go down I think that will be the reason: not replacing the centre backs adequately, and not playing Austin earlier in the season when we had an easy run of games.

Why does Les Reed get so much stick when this has been such a successful period? Im guessing he my be feeling a little under-appreciated. If he sells it's a mistake, if he doesn't sell it's a mistake. If he doesn't sack Puel it's a mistake, if he does sack him it's a mistake. Tough crowd or what? What a stupid thing to say. Wouldnt you prefer if we win the next 4 games and he turns out to be a successful manager for us? Possible team tomorrow : McCarthy Stephens, Yoshida, Hoedt, Bertrand, Davis, Romeu, Hoijberg, Bouffal, Ward-Prowse, Long. Injury problems and a bad season so far, but who knows, lets get behind them. Watford on bad form too

He played one good game, never really seemed to get another chance. The fans on here love a home grown player. Definitely deserves a chance or a loan, just came back from a long injury
