Massive talent. Will be at a mega club within 2 years IMO.

Back 5 and Romeu in front were immense. More composure in the final third and we'd have nicked it.

The club's ambition is a subject that is splits the fanbase IMO (ignoring the usual "troll" and "bedwetting" bants). If we are ever to reach the next level (top 6/7 regulars) we have to avoid selling our best players to Liverpool (and other English clubs that are the step above us) every summer or we'll never get there ourselves. The club seems happy with being regulars in the 8-12th slot which most would say is fair for a club of our size. In my opinion that's dangerous as standing still in this league for too long usually ends with Championship football.

Reports that Chelsea will give us Christensen as part of VVD deal.

The board will already know if Puel is going to be here next season IMO. They seemed to be blind-sided by Koeman's departure but if Puel is off this summer I'd hope it gives us a lot of time to be pro-active this time around.

Beaten by a better team. We have gone backwards this season, not surprising given the previous 2 league campaigns, turnover of players and manager. VVD is a massive whole. Big summer ahead.

Centre mid will be lightweight without Romeu so move Stephens into holding midfield and bring in Caceres at centre half. Need as much physicality as possible, especially defending set pieces.

Unfortunately it mainly consisted of Mancs and Surrey based United fans where I was, although the Saints fans more than held their own despite being outnumbered. The view of the scarf waving red and white blur below and above us was quite incredible and surreal.

His inability to get down quick enough is starting to hamper us. I don't recall him struggling in that area before his injury but may be wrong.

Thank the lord Le Tiss was "lazy". If he wasn't we may have been robbed of our greatest ever player. Very bitter.

Good news on two counts. 1. A player with good pedigree signed in a position which desperately needed strengthening. 2. It's the type of signing that Les and co would previously have scoffed at. Hopefully this means the powers that be are realising the self-hyped black box and recruitment system isn't superior to what any other top flight club operates.

Reed and the hierarchy believing their own hype could cost us massively. They got away with it for 2 seasons because Ronald Koeman is a bloody good manager but the gamble of selling the core every summer was always going to fail eventually. New direction needed.

What a shambles. The club have known since the summer Fonte would be off sooner rather than later so absolutely no excuse, Fonte's replacement should have been on his way in long before the VVD injury. The black box and SFC recruitment system always ahead of the game? Well, ending two consecutive transer windows woefully short in key areas short shows what ******** that is.

Not good enough. Get the cup final out the way and then get rid of Puel. Planning for the next manager should be well underway.
