We're at home and I make us favourites. Brighton got at them last night and caused them alot of problems, with a half decent centre forward they would of won. We have the best forward in the division and if our big players step up to the occasion we'll be fine. Would take a draw but can see us taking all 3. COYR.

Whittingham is over rated, good set piece delivery but Lallana has much better all round game.

Just got in, we dominated the second half but lacked quality in our final ball. They will be the happier with a doubt. A few points: Sharp missed a sitter, I stood there for a good 2 minutes in disbelief after he missed. He needs to get fitter but will come good. Lallana is getting back to his best, was very lively. Hooiveld was immense, an absolute machine. Puncheon loked very good when he came on, should start against Derby. Lambo was quiet but I'll let him off. Good atmosphere, just a shame we couldn't nick it.

His all round game has stepped up a gear this season IMO, he's a more complete forward now which may be because of a slightly different role than he was used in the early days under Pardew. Such an unselfish player, which seems to reflect his personality (from what I've heard in interviews). Class act.

Lambo for the Holland friendly? He was immense today.

Poor decision not to start Sharp. Would be delighted for Connolly to prove me wrong but can't see it.

This thread is laughable, we really do have some mongs as fans. We are never going to pay 8-10mil for Hooper. Nor will anyone else, hence why he is still at Celtic. We are not Man City. We are making good progess as a club after we were almost killed by previous regimes, people need to remember where we were 2 and a half years ago. Yes this is a great chance to go up but its hardly a disaster if we end up in the play offs.
