At the time, and if it was on Arsene Wenger's recommendation (who when it comes to spotting potential is the best around) I would probably have gone with the French teenager. Shame it hasn't worked out for him but he's still young and will probably go on to fulfill his undoubted potential elsewhere.

Arsenal paid for most of his fee so don't worry about it. (Would prefer Wotton in League One)

Great to see the passion of Marsden, Le Tiss, Benali, Beattie and even Mark Hughes crashing into tackles and running themselves into the ground (apart from Tiss!).

Surman is alright when it's going well and his team are 2 nil up and cruising. But when we're 2 nil down and we look to him to take the game by the scruff of the neck and show some bllocks, he's nowhere to be seen. 700k is realistic.

Maybe that is the consortium Le Tiss was leaning favourably towards on Sky on Saturday.

Was speaking to the Southend goalkeeping coach on Thursday. Tilson is apparently being lined up for Ipswich if Magilton gets sacked at the end of the season. If it doesn't come off, could be a good shout for us as he knows League 1 inside out.
