Or rather it hands Arsenal, our title rivals an easy 3 points this weekend ...
-
Looking at our team and the type of additions we have made, I want to see Gardos, Wanyama, Pelle and Long go in hard on Lovren. We've missed some bite in the team over the last few seasons.
-
Awesome, welcome Shane! Great signing - just the type of striker we needed.

Players signing long-term contracts is the new way for clubs to sell players it seems; "On 14 April 2014, March signed a new four-year deal with the Seagulls.[9]"
-
Wasn't hard to find this; ""I am all for getting behind the players, but Puncheon is one of the worst players I have seen in a palace shirt for a long while. He wanders about off the ball. No work rate at all, when he seemed to have that at other sides... He gives the ball away more than anyone else and holds the ball for too long. He gets pushed off the ball too easily. Cannot pass it ten yards. I am sick of watching him already, one thing we certainly cannot afford is players that arent willing to roll their sleeves up and work for the side and he is not pulling his weight. On top of this, I stayed behind after the swansea game to get some photos and autographs for my son and niece. He didnt give any fans the time of day and pretty much told one fan to **** off...the fan was simple to put it fairly and it was really not on. I want this **** as far away from our club as possible"" But anyway, wrong thread etc.

Good point. I remember loads of b*tchng and whinging on here when he was sold, but he hardly set the world alight at Palace did he? In fact I think they still don't really like him that much ...
-
But surely you'd just go on a self-imposed strike until you got your way?
-
I love the way he strikes a dead ball - that quick, low, accurate crossing/delivery really is lovely to see. Amazing technique. Would like to see more and more what he can do with direct free kicks and now that Rickie has moved on, maybe he'll get to have a go?
-
I hope your Townsend news is true; I quite like him as a player!
-
Probably a "get into Europe and you'll get triple wages / huge £xxm bonus" or something stupid.
-
You can imagine the scene now, indoctrinating the players and saying "we are heading for the Champions League next season" and them all lapping it up like bloody thicko robots. At the end, him saying "and hey, to show how confident I am, if we don't make it, you'll be able to leave to a club that is there" Utter helmet. In fact, is there a term for a collection of helmets?
-
So what if it is true, if he didn't want to be here beyond 2 years, he shouldn't have signed a 4 year contract. You can't have it both ways. He needs to put up and shut up and play well on the pitch, or risk rotting and never playing for France again and at the end of 4 years, signing for Yeovil on a free.

Don't be so sensible, it's entirely accurate that Rodgers is a joke who hates Saints.
-
Welcome, you'll fit in well here!!
-
So then, how is the asset stripping going then lads..?

That's quite amusing, good effort -

He's on strike! -
Perfect summary Steve! Let's judge Koeman in a year, two years even, if we don't score many and Long hasn't contributed, then fine. But the team obviously know who and what sort of player they want and you know what, tactically this could really work. If Jay gets back sooner than expected (before Christmas), then that forward 3 would terrify most defences as it has everything.

Top post. As for those wanting to sign Wickham, you have to wonder if they've ever seen him other than on Sky and other than for the 4 or 5 matches where he looked okay (out of 40-odd last season). Even the Sunderland fans don't think he's THAT good and are laughing at £10m for him.

Seriously? I have no words sometimes.
-
Seriously? I assume you're a parody.

Big man, little man ... have we gone back in time?

I think someone else said this, but it could be a stalking horse to get Burnley to part with Ings and accept our offer, or risk losing Ings for nothing at the end of the season?
