Southampton fans income survey
Patrick Bateman replied to Chicken With A Banjo's topic in The Lounge
Cars, clothes, lifestyle ... all available on credit and there are far too many people spending far too much money that isn't actually theirs, then spend a life time paying it back with more credit and hoping that one day a big bonus/lottery win will pay it all off for them. I really wouldn't worry about others. Enjoy life, pay your bills, live within your means and don't borrow - well, except for a mortgage. -
have we finished yet? or is there more to look forward to?

Seems to me that people are suddenly jumping on "3 at the back" as all the usual dull media outlets have been w**king over Van Gaal this week and him playing 3-5-2 like it's some kind of revolutionary miracle ... bored of it already this season zzzzzz -
1. Chelsea 2. Man Utd 3. Man City 4. Arsenal 5. Liverpool 6. Everton 7. Tottenham 8-15. Pretty much any of the other teams in the league, in any order, except; Villa, Palace, West Brom, Leicester, Burnley (16-20) Aye?

Beyond the Southampton Fire Sale, Football's Brave New World
Patrick Bateman replied to Rasiak-9-'s topic in The Saints
Being white text on a black background, it hurts my eyes, so I'm not reading it. Please change the colour scheme - even grey text on black would be better. -
My money would be on Sherwood. Slightly cheaper option for the board and he would probably go there as it's 'local'!?
-
Or rather it hands Arsenal, our title rivals an easy 3 points this weekend ...
-
Looking at our team and the type of additions we have made, I want to see Gardos, Wanyama, Pelle and Long go in hard on Lovren. We've missed some bite in the team over the last few seasons.
-
Awesome, welcome Shane! Great signing - just the type of striker we needed.

Players signing long-term contracts is the new way for clubs to sell players it seems; "On 14 April 2014, March signed a new four-year deal with the Seagulls.[9]"
-
Wasn't hard to find this; ""I am all for getting behind the players, but Puncheon is one of the worst players I have seen in a palace shirt for a long while. He wanders about off the ball. No work rate at all, when he seemed to have that at other sides... He gives the ball away more than anyone else and holds the ball for too long. He gets pushed off the ball too easily. Cannot pass it ten yards. I am sick of watching him already, one thing we certainly cannot afford is players that arent willing to roll their sleeves up and work for the side and he is not pulling his weight. On top of this, I stayed behind after the swansea game to get some photos and autographs for my son and niece. He didnt give any fans the time of day and pretty much told one fan to **** off...the fan was simple to put it fairly and it was really not on. I want this **** as far away from our club as possible"" But anyway, wrong thread etc.

Good point. I remember loads of b*tchng and whinging on here when he was sold, but he hardly set the world alight at Palace did he? In fact I think they still don't really like him that much ...
-
But surely you'd just go on a self-imposed strike until you got your way?
-
I love the way he strikes a dead ball - that quick, low, accurate crossing/delivery really is lovely to see. Amazing technique. Would like to see more and more what he can do with direct free kicks and now that Rickie has moved on, maybe he'll get to have a go?
-
I hope your Townsend news is true; I quite like him as a player!
-
Probably a "get into Europe and you'll get triple wages / huge £xxm bonus" or something stupid.
-
You can imagine the scene now, indoctrinating the players and saying "we are heading for the Champions League next season" and them all lapping it up like bloody thicko robots. At the end, him saying "and hey, to show how confident I am, if we don't make it, you'll be able to leave to a club that is there" Utter helmet. In fact, is there a term for a collection of helmets?
-
So what if it is true, if he didn't want to be here beyond 2 years, he shouldn't have signed a 4 year contract. You can't have it both ways. He needs to put up and shut up and play well on the pitch, or risk rotting and never playing for France again and at the end of 4 years, signing for Yeovil on a free.
-
Don't be so sensible, it's entirely accurate that Rodgers is a joke who hates Saints.
-
Welcome, you'll fit in well here!!

So then, how is the asset stripping going then lads..?

That's quite amusing, good effort -
Fraser Forster Joins on 4 Year Deal - Official

He's on strike! -
Perfect summary Steve! Let's judge Koeman in a year, two years even, if we don't score many and Long hasn't contributed, then fine. But the team obviously know who and what sort of player they want and you know what, tactically this could really work. If Jay gets back sooner than expected (before Christmas), then that forward 3 would terrify most defences as it has everything.
