No, not really, he's spot on.

Although I do like this new excuse ... "transition period". Rodgers and Van Gaal have now both used it. If this is Saints "transition period" with our new players, then next season we'll be winning the league, right?
-
To be fair, they are still 4th. The league table doesn't lie, right? Hence why we're 3rd It is a seriously average league this year and he's got some absolutely world class players who can turn it on and have turned it on, when needed. Yes he is not a Fergie, but they are also still in the CL positions, something which Moyes wasn't going to achieve.

Damn it. haha

Right, I've done a quick tenner on Cambridge at 12/1 ... now watch Man Utd perform a masterclass of total football ...
-
Every team except Saints I meant, otherwise the forum helmets wouldn't be able to get worked up about it!
-
To be honest, as no one ever reads what he says about other teams other than their own (be honest, do you really?), he may as well cut and paste "The team should be finishing in the top 4 and pushing for the title" for every single team in the league. No one would know.

And look like a bunch of melts afraid to play on a cold Friday night in a turd little ground.
-
Define "kid" though? As far as I'm aware, I don't think he actually came over and joined Saints until he was 16 or 17 anyway, so I doubt many people outside the football scouting network would have known about him anyway. I might be wrong though?

And out of all of them, Clyne is probably in the best position of his life to get the very very biggest deal he can. We should absolutely break the bank to keep hold of one of the best right backs we've seen.
-
We need to throw money at these guys, all of them - this squad seems very together and not like last year where I think we could already tell there was a clique with Pochettino and certain players, I think it feels more like a whole team. I think it's more important to keep that this year, than last. Clyne, Toby and Ryan; all 3 I think are pivotal to doing well next season. If we get Jay and Cork to sign, then ideal.

Yep, I worked with a bloke who was at the '76 cup final and is a Man Utd fan from Salford - absolutely hates Saints, still.

Chelsea vs Southampton KO moved for TV

Is that a problem? -
He'll be a 'trffic signing as he's a 'trffic lad and a bargain who'll fit right into the hard working squad with no problems. 'trffic.

I read your post and that is my response to you.

Jesus, what a bunch of officious dullards they really are.

haha! I like Gardos, he seems like a fairly intelligent defender who can only learn alongside Fonte. I mean, where did this level of Fonte come from?? Incredible! Fair play to him. I'm still concerned about the goalkeeper backup - hopefully they'll unearth some gem who is happy to be backup and is good enough to push Forster. Maybe that's Gazzaniga or Cropper now? I haven't seen either of them play this year so I can't comment, but I assume as they'd rather have Kelvin on the bench who must be rusty as hell (in match terms), that neither are stepping up?
-
Easy, a draw surely? We gain 2 points on City (we're not going to overtake them, but it's amusing all the same) and move 2 points further away from Arsenal. Preferably a 0-0 draw at that. Alas, it was too much to ask bloody 'triffic 'arry to beat Man Utd on Saturday though. Div.

Another dip in form? ********. We're closing the gap on Chelsea now ......
-
I get this. All the teams at the top keep winning, all the f**king time, it's relentless, you need to win every week, else you drop. Not like at the bottom when you're praying for a win against someone, anyone, then you get one and suddenly all your rivals have lost and you've crept back above them. There's no let up at the top, you keep winning otherwise you become midtable again.

Love this version of Alpine Saint

Jesus. Seriously? We're 3rd, at the end of January, we're scoring. Do you watch Pelle play? The guy is a creator as well as a scorer, but over the last month, he's had the attention of 2, sometimes 3 opposition players pulling, battering and stopping him. This does two things, firstly it means he less likely to score but still able to play a decent through ball/knock down and secondly, it opens up space for other players who don't have that attention to get in better scoring position. In my view. Worried? No.

Who cares, he's probably about 14. Great performance again today, absolutely loved it!
