  1. Lou, you didn't mention that last weekend!
  2. That looks rather like a false friend WC, you're going native!
  3. #preyonbrendan
  4. Oh pleaaasssse...
  5. I'm just wondering when Andy Townsend will admit to having played for us; it still rankles that he just stopped performing as he wanted away. But I don't lose any sleep over it, or Saggy or Hoddle or Pocchetinos behaviour..
  6. I think what amuses me the most is how emphatic the statements are; no "In my opinion" or "worried about" or "do you think..". it's straight in there, to use the example of the title of this thread, with "f**king disgrace". He immediately makes himself hostage to fortune but just doesn't see it and is probably one of the most obtuse posters here. Others here (no names, no pack drill) can sometimes also be annoying, but at least they're a bit more aware, even if that engenders a slight desire to use two half bricks to good effect or spike their coffee with Ex-lax. With Alps I just laugh..
  7. So did they over-rule the computer in the case of Lovren, or is it just a case of automatically downgrading their points by 10 as a result of a move to a Brendan Rodgers team?
  8. It may not be a law, but it is certainly a moral obligation, and I speak as someone who once volunteer stewarded an England-Scotland match at Wembley...
  9. You forgot to metion that Fabregas got sent off.. Reading The Guardian live report also gave me this link for me and Lou to laugh over: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=144&v=a-c8bv7e6EI
  10. Looks like your linking has bust the Mayflower's website!
  11. 'Thought'? I don't think that activity was involved.

    Cookers

I've an induction hob: quick, and for the messy cook (who me?) the ease of cleaning is a real bonus! I believe lots of commercial kitchens are moving too them as well. I had to buy a few new pans, but some of those I had were fine.
  13. Ah, my train ticket, senior rail card!
  14. It's funny about preconceptions, but I did hint that I was of sporty build and wore sensible shoes! ;-) Anyway, just bought my season ticket (whimper..) so I'd better start budgetting for next season's beers..
  15. I can see his point in a way; if you're some not so good player coming from Doncaster or Chesterfield where you can probably get a semi-detached for £150k , it would make you think twice before moving to Portsmouth. Let's face it, they'll already have thought twice about moving to Portsmouth (will they pay me, why haven't they got a training ground, the ground's a bigger dump than Doncaster etc.)
  16. Nice to meet you all. In their absence Lou and myself had an interesting discussion about Bearsy and Bletch, but because we don't want to embarass them we won't tell. My expectations were confounded though, Pap is not fat (I don't know where I got that from), Lou is not a truck driver, Bucks is an immigrant to Berks, Goatboy's laugh wasn't an obscene gurgle, we learnt the etymology of various people's names and I had to leave before I'd my ration of pints and so managed to avoid embarassing myself. Summer is on its way and my liver can now take it easy..
  17. Thanks are due to Alpine I think: he get's it wrong so spectacularly it made me laugh as I've only just seen this thread but saw the game today...
  18. Home, and just off out again. This is going to get messy...
  19. Think I'll put a quid on Newport, just so I can empathise more with The9..
  20. Didn't realise he was playing
  21. Yes, you'd have seen it enough times...
  22. That's why this thread is so funny; no sooner does someone make a joke than it turns out to be true...
  23. Magari, ma dopo devo scapare in fretta..
  24. Not until I get paid for this last job: first money I've earnt this year!
