  1. B*****r, we've got morals...
  2. Perhaps he could have a word with Monk from this board as he sometimes offers amateur teams cast off bits from his coaching job. Actually Monk, any spare cones, balls, etc. available for a bottom tier Hampshire WL women's team? We're almost as short of funds as Pompey..
  3. Some of you listen to 'I'm sorry, I haven't a clue', I can tell..
  4. Pretty fair assessment. I don't know who the people questioning team selection would want to play given the enforced lack of choice. The gamble of playing Morgan and Victor was one most of the moaners would have wanted, but we can now see why managers are reluctant to play certain players on certain occasions..
  5. Yeah, imagine if he'd got a yellow card tonight...!
  6. Give it a ****ing rest. I don't often get annoyed on here, but your need a nappy for your posting incontinence.
  7. Well, that was a f***ing disaster. For all those who were so keen on this soddin' cup, our bare bones squad - beyond even the nightmares of 'Arry - now hasn't got a midfield for the Everton game. Davis, Cork, Hesketh, injured, Wanyama, Schneiderlin banned, JWP back from injury still not 100%, Reed untried. As we saw tonight, when we boot long when desperate, nothing comes of it. At least we'll have Pelle and Tadic back...
  8. We'll probably get a couple of players sent off and have to adopt the Drummond T9 formation (as driven by Grandad!).
  9. You do post some c**p Ludwig, but that made me laugh..
  10. Can you co-opt Bearsy to do opposition profiles? Incidentally, where is the Bear, has he been banned again as I haven't noticed him recently?.
  11. I saw the the thread title and immediately exclaimed "Oh do p**s off", so I thought I'd write it as well.
  12. We'll have to go back to the ol' routine: 'can you PM me please?'...
  13. Many years ago when I was doing my degree in modern history I remember reading an account by one of the top people in SOE/MI5 (can't remember the details), but the essence was that they didn't use torture, not only on moral grounds but that it was such a useless tool. Information given through stupidity, pride, arrogance was always more valuable than somebody babbling whatever they thought you wanted to hear.
  14. Critical assessments under The Guardian match report too, and admitting that Basle were better..
  15. Good to see the number 8 following in. The timing in the shot was good to get so much power, and the WH defence couldn't have suspected they'd need to close down there. Another name to watch out for.
  16. That would boost their finances!
  17. I prefer using my heavy Le Creuset saute pan. If I don't get you round the head I'll go for your knees and as I play footie I know all about cruciates..
  18. I don't think you're quite that advanced, to be honest.
  19. Come back afterwards if that happens: you'll get a far better welcome!
  20. Seriously? Do I have to ask Trousers for quotes?
  21. :-)
  22. 'Errors leading to opposition shots'.. worst in the league for that made me chuckle..
  23. So Pompey don't need goals then?
  24. Some of us play Sunday afternoon.
