Hah! I just found an old reed to my bombarde (an example ) ... a very loud and piercing sound if any of you have ever been to Brittany - and just played OWTSGMI on it from my 4th floor balcony over my little Italian town. Feeling as soppy and tipsy as anything... Oh, and Alps, sorry for your loss. I like to think they're a few old friends and rellies somewhere sharing our joy.

Well, before the match, otherwise you'll be up and down those stairs... Afterwards is another matter: my visit at the beginning of the season with various friends we lost count...

I'll be watching an internet thread at home: if it's warm enough I'll wear my birthday suit. Probably get dressed if I go out afterwards though! -

Bloomin 'eck FC. Can't you set up a macro so that every time you type in "teh" it puts in "the"? I thought _my_ typing was bad..;-) -
Indeed. Until it actually fails I'm not even sure that businesses can write off the debt against tax.. Clapham??? Incidentally, where's Corp these days? He may be a WUM but he's definitely not _quite_ as stupid as PFC, hence his absence here.

I regret to say it, but I'm old enough to be able to tell you that it's Hiley.. or at least, if this wine is stronger than I reckoned - definitely NOT Le Saux...

I burst out in genuine laughter when I saw that.. creased myself more when I saw your post...

Ex-pats. What time is the Cov game for you then?

Only an hour ahead here so a fine time and, even better, my team has a rest day on Sunday and fortunately the manager hasn't organised a friendly so I can be suitably misbehaved on the beer front... -
No women's game, and sod the FA who won't allow mixed teams according to application form. Actually, I thought that particular ban didn't apply to charity games and the like. My team often play training matches against guys: usually juniors or scratch teams though.

What about those of us with overseas addresses, post codes and phone numbers: any experiences? I don't fancy being a tester - I did enough speccing and test plans when I worked in IT. -
Exactly what I was thinking...

No problems, I assumed so, but I'd very much like to say the same words personally.. I wonder what the next poster said, busy little bee that he is. None of us know what the future will bring, but as I think I've mentioned elsewhere on here, I'm already thinking about tickets for the early games of next season when I'm over. I certainly won't be leaving it until the last moment to get them after the excellent attendance records of this season, particularly towards the end. But then I'm motivated and won't have a chance later in the season. Other people won't bother or won't do it in time, but might if it were easier. There's a lot of different dynamics going on in ticket sales and some people here have a very simplistic view of it.

I think Icarus flew over their heads.. Incidentally, where on earth did that homoerotic picture come from? Shame somebody couldn't hack the original source and put in the amended picture...
-
Thanks for reminding me. I'll start taking the heart pills now.

It's just as well I always read this thread at home as if I read it in an office I'd be getting a reputation for outbursts of manic cackling at regular intervals.

Or on the other side of Mont Blanc there are some camp sites in Val Veny at 1600m that I've stayed at during the Celtica Festival: a more dramatic setting you couldn't get: http://www.celtica.vda.it/
