I can't see the relevance - how can naming a rape or alleged rape victim possibly be in the public interest? With Green I accept that naming him was probably a mis-use of the Parliamentary privilege and don't support it in principle but think that the rich using NDAs to get away with dodgy behaviour is a more important issue than Lords interfering with press gaging legal cases so support what Hain did.

Look like a bunch of thick racist, cockney scum - hope the plod throw the book at them. -
I’m not wearing one now, who am I disrespecting?

Do you really not understand why some people from Ireland might not have a great opinion of British armed forces? Just because he doesn’t respect the queen or the anthem doesn’t mean he hates all British people, even if he does that’s his opinion and I don’t have an issue with it. Each to their own.
-
Maybe he doesn’t dislike the British, just the armed forces? All this outrage is nonsense, it’s totally understandable why Irish wouldn’t want to wear them.

It's the Rupert Lowe days all over again. What happens on the pitch is the only thing that really matters at a football club.

I heard from a source a while ago that Reed is good friends with Bruce.

Someone can still be a victim of rape even if there’s not enough evidence to get a conviction.

He has to go if we don’t beat Watford. With the international break it’s the perfect time to change manager. I have little confidence in the clowns at our club being that decisive or getting the replacement right. It’s just been bad decision followed by bad decision for a while now, just a matter of time before we go down even if we stay up this year.
-
That is worrying, if we don’t strengthen we go down. Something is seriously wrong with the club if there is no money after the players we’ve flogged.

That’s just the usual pre-match ****** he comes out with. He knows we’re **** and they will put at least three past us while we barely manage a shot on or off target.

Well you've already made it clear you approve of rich people covering up sexual assault with bungs so we all know what bag you go in - the 80's dinosaur one. What Hain did wasn't correct procedure and in principle I don't agree with politicians interfering but I believe he is right in that it is in the pubic's best interest not to cover these things up. That's just my opinion, that's why I'm not bothered by his interference.

Because the misuse of NDAs to silence people who have been subject to bullying, harassment or worse is a problem. Sexual harassment can be stopped only by exposure, not by secret payments and NDA contracts that bind victims to silence. Experience tells us that predators are serial offenders – just as one victim leads to another so one NDA leads to another. I think the law will be revised, even Theresa May has vowed to end the unethical use of NDAs, hopefully Hain has helped things move a bit quicker.

Lords interfering in the legal process is obviously not ideal but in this case where it is obviously in the public interest so I don't have a problem with it. Good to see the house of Lords actually do something useful.

Think the OP is about right, can't see past that 5 for the relegation spots. We are dire but if we can shift some dead wood and bring in a few decent forward players in January we should be OK. Cardiff and Huddersfield look limited, Newcastle are a mess and Fulham just can't defend. If we don't strengthen we are going to be in big trouble though.

There you go with the red blue nonsense again, you’re obsessed. I’m not sure why wanting a fair justice system makes me a lefty? I don’t want the state to control people’s lives just don’t think bungs to silence people helps get justice or prevent future bad behaviour. Maybe there should be a Lord Duckhunter Bung option drafted into our legal system so that rich people are spared jail, awkward questions from their wife or embarrassing TV interviews when they commit offences? Would have to have a set price to make it fair, how about: Accidental racist abuse - £1,000 Well-meaning pussy grab - £2,000 Serious sexual assault - £20,000 Obviously to make if fair there should be a monthly payment plan option for poor people so they can enjoy the same privilege of not facing justice. Unfortunately it could never really be fair as richer victims will never need to settle for the money option as they already have enough, they will always have the pleasure of seeing the offender get justice.

To prevent future offences. You can’t just have rich people going around grabbing pussies all over the place without fear of any comeback. Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein, the Catholic Church - they all used NDAs to cover up what happened. Silence allows abuse to fester.
-
I don’t think our squad is that bad except for where it counts - attacking midfield and up front, where it is a complete mess. I would happily see the back of Davis, JWP, Long, Austin and Gabbiadini and get in replacements with a bit of pace, power and creativity.
-
You’re just obsessed with the usual red v blue nonsense. What Hain did is obviously in the public interest, NDAs need reforming, even the PM says so. Hopefully Hain’s action will highlight the issue and speed things up. It should be illegal to use NDAs to cover up sexual harassment and the like.

Cortese was just one of the many rats to jump ship after It became clear that Liebherr wasn’t gonna continue to blow her dad’s fortune. It’s pointless crying like a baby because he’s gone, it was his choice and nothing to do with a bit of name calling on some little known fan forum. We would all prefer it if we had our billionaire and his dwarf back running the show, even Cortese’s critics.

I would be more than happy for Hain to name labour MPs, I don’t agree with covering up any of this sort of behaviour. I have never met Phillip Green so couldn’t say wether I like him or not so as usual you are talking ****e.

Yes because of parliamentary privilege. Anything that helps expose bullying, sexual harassment and racial abuse has to be a good thing IMO.
