  1. It's a great deal, but it's still flogging our young players - no different to what MIGHT happen to Lallana and Shaw etc.
  2. Agree, the way he stopped Arsenal from buying Chamberlain was outstanding.
  3. Just bullsh!t from the bloke who flogged Chamberlain to Arsenal.
  4. It's a fine line between success and failure in this league, plenty of teams have gone from mid table to relegation the next season. If we lose Lallana and Shaw it will leave big holes to fill. Plus if we show little ambition then players who bought into Cortese's Champions League dream will be looking to move elsewhere and it can all go to cock pretty quickly.
  5. It's a shame for them both because it's always good to see ex Saints do well but wouldn't have the faintest idea what they were like as coaches or why they were sacked so it's impossible to comment.
  6. What has being "fan friendly" got to do with transfer negotiations?
  7. It is obvious, and it's not an idea thought up by Clive Woodward. Matt Le Tissier, the king of penalties, used to repeatedly practice taking them into an empty in front of the Milton End before matches. He also used to try and replicate the pressure by offering young goalkeepers money for saving them in training. England are not very good at penalty shootouts because we are not very good at football.
  8. It would be a sh!t deal, we hold all the cards, we don't have to sell. £35mill up front or f*ck off you dirty manc ****s.
  9. Practicing penalties is not exactly a novel idea, of course it helps. Having someone like Woodward on a consultancy basis is not a bad idea, trying to fast-track him to a be a football manager is just plain bonkers.
  10. It makes sense, we have a top quality manager and some top quality players but not a top quality squad.
  11. Just out of interest, what would you consider proof? We could have the hottest year ever on record, record high concentrations of CO2, more extreme weather - you will still just ignore the scientific consensus and say it's natural variations. How can it ever be conclusively proved in your eyes - what has to happen?
  12. I can't believe we buy out the clause whilst the Cherries were going through one of their administrations.
  13. I think losing Lallana would be a similar blow for us to be honest.
  14. Absolutely. If Liverpool lose Suarez I would put money on them not being top 4 next season.
  15. They would miss either of them. Suarez more obviously.
  16. Those four results were a decent start but narrowly beating Stoke, Villa and a poor Man Utd side, drawing with Swansea and losing at home to Saints does not exactly mean you are going to challenge for the title. It's your bum-boy Kraken who said their "extended run" at the start of the season was evidence of how they wouldn't miss Suarez.
  17. I dunno, 33 games, 31 goals, 12 assists. If ever there was a team reliant on one player it was Liverpool this season.
  18. Can you not read, I said they probably wouldn't get anyone as good as Suarez if they sold him. Liverpool have been spending fortunes for years without challenging. Lose Suarez and I would probably have them down for 5th next year.
  19. They will be very lucky to get someone as good. Do you seriously think beating Stoke, Villa and Man Utd, drawing with Swansea and losing at home to Saints its a great "extended run"? Mong board at it's finest
  20. They beat Stoke, Villa and Man Utd, drew with Swansea and lost at home to Saints before Suarez came back - that's it.
  21. You don't say. **** me, do you have anything else screamingly obvious to contribute.
  22. 31 goals, 12 assists - take that out of any team and they will be effected big time. If Suarez leaves they won't be top 4 IMO.
  23. Liverpool have started well many a year and done f*ck all. The difference this year was Suarez. He is one of the best players in the World.
  24. Liverpool would be nothing without Suarez.
