  1. I have a programme, ticket and copy of the Sun from the monday afterwards. Those pics are fantastic.
  2. At least now we know what "debt free" looks like! I like the way the mongs are saying that the wages debts are covered by the parachutes, if that were the case they would pay them back in full by next January or whenever their final payment is. The fact that they are spreading payments over 40 months suggests they need the parachutes for the every day running of the club and the wages debts have just been kicked into the grass. Worry about those debts later, something will turn up.
  3. If only that was true
  4. The Japs will do a good job.
  5. I can't see that formation working, Rickie is a natural front man you might as well just play 4-4-2.
  6. I think any annoyance about teachers striking goes out the window when you see some c*nt sticking up for the bankers.
  7. I have sympathy for them but plenty of people have spent years cultivating their careers and don't have the option of striking. Most people I have spoke to seem to be working twice as hard for effectively the same money. The country is skint, people accept that there has to be cut backs but as soon as certain people feel a little hard done by their toys come out the pram. If teachers are unhappy with their deal I'm pretty sure there are plenty of graduates willing to do the job.
  8. As long as Osvaldo is happy to play in the wide role it shouldn't be a problem.
  9. You have to wonder how many thousands of people Assad has to gas before Russia and China give a sh!t. I can't see any nice ending to this. Even if a UN force goes in you will just end up with the usual muslim extremists fighting the 'occupiers'.
  10. Totally agree, I think we are heading for another financial crash, bigger than the last one, and history will look back on the people creaming off millions as criminals. I still don't get the striking thing though, people should just change their job if they are not happy with it. No one is forcing anyone to do anything. Teachers are not poorly paid.
  11. If they don't like the pay and conditions they can get a new job - that's how it works in today's world for everyone else.
  12. Where have all the supporters gone? that is pathetic.
  13. Barry Horne was always one of my favourites when I was younger.
  14. You're probably right about being too competitive too young. The team I played for as a kid won the league by launching it down the line then getting it in the mixer. It was very effective and we didn't care because we were winning. I suppose it could be argued that we play the way we do because we have little talent not the other way round though. In general English people have always been sh!t at football. The only time we ever won anything was with home advantage, light years ago. We keep looking for reasons but there might not be any, we may just need to face the fact that we are not very good.
  15. They just need to restrict the amount of foreigners a team can field. Unless they do that, the money in the game over here will always mean people will come from far and wide to play here. Obviously kids should be coached the right way but I would be surprised if the standard of coaching in the Prem is worse than throughout Europe.
  16. I would go for --------------------------Boruc------------------------ Clyne---------Yoshida----------------Lovren----------Shaw -----------Schneiderlin----------Wanyama------------ Rodriguez-------------Ramirez------------------Lallana ------------------------Lambert-------------------------
  17. Was the lack of Clyne and Shaw the problem, or the lack of pace up front. IMO the 4-2-3-1 system works best if you have some natural wide players or runners in the 3 behind the striker. I think if there is no pace in the front four we will have problems regardless of how fast our full backs are.
  18. Mayuka must have been worse value for money than Delgado.
  19. Thought we would have replaced Puncheon but still a decent window. Hope our lack of pace doesn't come back and haunt us.
  20. Surely this means we are going to get someone with pace in as a replacement?
  21. Fisk has usually got a good grasp of things in the Middle East, that article does ring true. I expect the only 'game changer' is the involvement of Hezbollah and the fact that Assad is winning.
  22. I think Moyes will be a failure for them, he has won f*ck all. It's going to be great watching their downfall.
  23. I think this is key, we're having to change formation to crow-bar in a second centre forward. Personally i would have spent £15mill on a replacement for Puncheon and brought a young centre forward who was happy to be understudy to Lambert for a couple of seasons.
