I know it in itself it is peanuts, but this sort of stupid salary and pay-off is symptomatic in today's world where people at the top doing **** jobs get paid an absolute fortune. When you think about how much a soldier earns risking his life and compare it to c*nts like this and bankers etc, the whole system is warped.

The -10 has to come off this season.

It's shocking how much his pay-off was, I've always defended the BBC but what a obscene waste of tax payers money. And people wonder why the country is skint!

Gazza for me, looks class. He will make mistakes because he is young and inexperienced, but I think it will be worth our while sticking with him.

Maybe he doesn't have a problem with British people or Britain. Just doesn't want to honour it's military who murdered people on his estate. Also he probably has friends and family who still live in the area, maybe wearing the poppy might cause issues for them. Either way it's a free world and it's not for you or I to judge.

To be fair we'd still be playing football if the German's had won. I don't agree with his point of view but respect his right to choose. If he sees the poppy as a symbol of the British army you can understand his thinking.

I'm not saying they should just hoof it every time but their are certain situations where it is good defending to play percentages, it doesn't matter what level you are playing at. Swansea didn't look like scoring at all in the second half, if Gazza had put his foot through that I'm pretty sure we would have won. We stayed in the Prem for years with Benali n co playing percentages when they needed to. It's common sense especially when you are up against better teams almost every week.

But a 50/50 chance of losing possession in the opposition's half is sometimes a better than risking losing it in your third of the pitch. Especially when the opponents are throwing players forward trying to get an equaliser. We've had countless hairy moments this season trying to play Adkin's possession football at the back, if we carry on we will go down for sure IMO. How many games have we lost from a winning position?

And then results return to pretty much what they were. The 8-12 game honeymoon could be the difference between staying up or not. Stats like this are always pretty meaningless anyway, each situation is different. If the team is not getting results and the manager has tried all he can it's either accept your fate or try and make a change. Look at the difference Eddie Howe has made to Bournemouth, same players as the ones that were losing under Groves.

Surely that is a compelling case IN FAVOUR of sacking he manager, a honeymoon period of 12-18 games could be enough to save the season.

It all depends on how the committee works and what discussions went on. It is quite plausible that Adkins said he wanted two quality centre backs in the summer and Reed and Cortese thought it would be better to blow £12mill on Ramirez and get one cheap Japanese centre back. Could explain why Adkins is not on the dole at the moment.
