Is that right? I thought the most likely outcome now is they go back into admin, blow off the debt again, and get another puppet owner so Chanrai can keep bleeding it dry.
-
After all their moaning about the FAPPT not being strict enough it would be p!ss funny if they are liquidated because the only person interested in buying them fails it.
-
Just a symptom of a world sick with greed. I can't see the current capitalist system lasting much longer.
-
Seriously, are we going to have this thread every time Nicola hosts a dinner for someone?
-
Surely Chanrai/Gaydamack would be better off liquidating the football club and flogging the land to Tescos then?
-
Seems a weird subject to make compulsory, religion is just a bunch of f*cked up fairy tales IMO.
-
They will get away with it. They will go into admin - again, blow off yet more debt - again, then Chanrai will just find another bunch of crooks to be puppet owners and the taxpayer will be left out of pocket - again.
-
"It would be very rare for a buyer to come in and buy a company facing a winding-up petition without making sure the winding-up petition is being dealt with." I take it that means no-one will touch them with a barge pole until they are in admin again and their debts are blown off, again? What happens to the first CVA if they get another one? Do they get 10p in the pound of their 10p of the previous pound?
-
Of course the club gained, they didn't have to pay any bloody tax. If a club can offer tax free bonuses in offshore accounts to it's staff it's an obvious unfair advantage over clubs that stick to the law.
-
There is no way any parachute money will be advanced without some sort of points penalty. it would be unfair on the other Championship clubs. Anyway, the Premier League wont give a flying f*ck if pompey go bust.
-
We all have opinions on our football club, otherwise we wouldn't be on here. My opinion is that if we are serious about promotion this season we need strength in depth, which means spending some of the £12mill we got for Chamberlain. Bringing through young players is what virtually every club is trying to do.
-
Don't disagree, but Cortese is the one banging on about being the "Barcelona of the South". I don't see where running the club like a corner shop fits into that plan.
-
We should have brought backup in for Rickie and Lallana, a classic case of resting on our laurels. Too busy noshing ourselves off for being top of the league instead of planning for the inevitable injury crisis.
-
Complete sh!te, time to spend some money.
-
I havn't given a sh!te about brands since I was at school, if I like something i buy it, couldn't give a toss who made it. people who buy just because of the brand are mugs.

It makes sense for the Football League to take their time and see how the admin and court case pan out before issuing the points deduction. Wether they deduct them now or a week before the end of the season makes no difference. As the weeks go by pompey seem to be making the decision easier and easier. There has to be a chance for a points deduction on the tax evasion charges, they are already looking into the current admin situation(s), plus I suppose if they don't service the CVA from the last admin there could be a further deduction for that (AFC Bournemouth style -17 anyone?).
-
Puncheon sound like a ***t but no one on here really knows what is going on so it's a bit off giving him stick. Maybe Cortese is being a c*nt?
-
So they owe the tax man £1.6mil, probably cant afford their CVA without investment, yet ARE STILL SIGNING PLAYERS. WTF is going on?
-
I don't know what I would prefer now, a Cala takeover or liquidation? They deserve to go pop but for comedy value I'd love to see the fish fancying loon take charge. "Pompey's going down like a hotel submarine"

The US/UK governments have invaded two countries bordering Iran killing many many thousands of people, how is Iran not supposed to see this as a hostile act?
-
It will be interesting to see how it effects the transfer market. I guess clubs with dodgy finances will have to pay cash up front.
-
Wether ail pasts are normal of or not is irrelevant it's still a f*ck up by either the captain or whoever was steering the thing.
-
Clubs generally loan players out for their own reasons (give experience or lighten wage bill), it's not for doing other clubs favours.
-
Sounds like the perfect partner for our Rickie.

Another defence procurement f**k up to cost a fortune...

Or don't buy any planes and just not bother having any wars?
