I'd rather play for Liverpool than Arsenal, at least Anfield has an atmosphere. Cant stand Arsenal, nice ground but full of boring cockney w@nkers.

You might be right. I plan on being really miserable when I am 64 though so would tell them to go poke it. The elderly do tend to be richer nowadays, they are not like the previous generation who had to fight germans and stuff, they all have fat pensions, financed by us and houses worth 300K they paid 20 grand for.

Anyone who can't fit their CV on two pages obviously has communication problems.

A 70% increase is harsh, I would tell the club to go f*ck themselves if I was hit with that. Sure, the retirment age is 65 blah blah blah, but fact is an empty seat makes the club no money and every 60-64 year old who is p!ssed off will probably leave them empty and not come back.

Man up you pussy it's only a bit of rubbish.

Eddie Mitchell being his deluded self again

I've heard we've bid for Pearce. -
Good prices IMO.

I don't see how legalising hard drugs will make people use them less, having them illegal certainly put me off when I was a kid. IMO alcohol is the best and worst drug, looking at the state of alcohol abuse in today's society should warning enough not to legalise crack, coke etc.

No, I think Nicola is probably thinking he can make more money selling individual tickets. He's a banker, it probably p!sses him off that ST holders get a couple of games free. If that is what he is thinking I think it's wrong because of the nature of football fans. I know ST holders who miss almost a quarter of the games because of work, I missed 3 or 4 last season. Make me pay game by game and the club will lose out.
-
More ticket sales = more money = more money to spend on players = better team It's not rocket science
-
I think ST's usually equate to having about 2 games for free compared to if you were buying on a match by match basis. You don't have to be a genius at maths to work out it would take alot of sell outs before you lose out though having too many season ticket holders. In the Championship we will probably only sell out a few games even if we are doing well, plus many people pay for a season ticket even if they can't make some games.
-
I think we are all aware you can get little plastic things called credit cards. I was just questioning the logic of not putting season tickets on sale earlier to maximise sales. After such a feel-good season I'm sure there would have been many who would have made an impulse buy who maybe now wont bother or have already blown their disposable on a holiday or been made redundant by the cuts etc.
-
I don't understand the lack of info, as people have said it's only going to mean less ST sales as people decide to spend their money on other stuff or their circumstances change. My job is looking less secure now than it did last month so I might not bother renewing, had they done the early bird, I would be signed up and they would have had a few month's cash already (if they bothered with the installment plan). One thing is for sure, ST sales wont increase by being available for less time - maybe they want to encourage people to not get STs and pay on a game by game basis. That would be a mistake IMO.

Comes out with Tony Lynam style platitudes, posts on facebook, links to organised crime and money laundering - this is far from the end of this thread.

I applied for a few but didn't get any. Just had some fat geezer on the news who has "won" 11k worth of tickets - seems a bit unfair, surely as soon as you won one set of tickets you should be put at the back of the queue for the others? Also seems odd how some people spend thousands to watch events they probably wouldn't cross the road to watch if it wasn't the Olympics.

Theo would have been better off going to Man U than learning how to win naff-all playing Wenger's tappy tappy sh!t. My Arsenal mate is thinks Theo has stagnated a bit, I tend to agree.

Considering he was a relative novice I would say keeping us up was anything but a mediocre achievement. When a club is in free fall it is not an easy job to turn it around, even for an experienced manager. Only a simpleton would look just at the players names and points per game ratio and make a judgement. The people at SFC who I spoke to said the players and everyone at the club thought Pearson did a fantastic job. Pearson p!ssed League 1 with Leicester, yet Adkins is considered a managerial god after scraping into 2nd spot.

I think it will be... West Ham Birmingham Burnley Blackpool Leicester Nottingham Forest Reading Leeds Southampton Hull City Brighton Ipswich Middlesbrough Cardiff Peterborough Millwall Derby Bristol City Watford Coventry Crystal Palace Barnsley Doncaster Portsmouth

Good to see Swansea back in the top flight plus another close away trip, it's all good.

The Chamberlain Dilemna.......
aintforever replied to John McGrath's Jockstrap's topic in The Saints
We are owned by billionares, they might think it's a wise investment. If Chambo signs a 5 year deal then rips the @ss out of the Championship teams like Man U and Arsenal will start thinking serious cash (both for us and for Chambo). -

You don't know that, we have the financial clout to match what anyone else is willing to pay a 17 year old. He will eventually want to play for a big club but may think the best place to develop for the next few seasons here. Not likely but possible. -
Bit naive to think Sky would make it freeview.

Who's going to be supporting United tonight?
aintforever replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
Proof is winning f*ck all for about half a century. Watching Barcelona destroy our best club side just reminded me what real talent is and how limited English players are. -

Think you guys are forgetting we are owned by billionares, we don't need the money to strengthen the team. -
Barcelona tonight - an insight into our future?
aintforever replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Challenging for a top four place is hardly Barcelona style.
