The Davies sacking is a strange one, getting to the play-offs is not doing too bad for Forest. I doubt Mclaren will be too popular. I would have expected Forest under Davies and Brum under Mcleish to be challenging for promotion, they still could but chances are one of them will hire a donkey.

I'm sorry I'm wrong. Cortese is a genius. Getting a small club like southampton promoted from League 1 is an achievement unparalleled in the world of football. Being almost as good as Brighton over a season is remarkable considering he worked on such a shoestring, only racking up £7mill debt.
