  1. Maybe, or he could be doing just as he said.
  2. I don't see why Benali would just make something like that up, completely out of the blue, on live TV.
  3. I think the Tories are against it because more people hate them whereas Labour and Lib Dems will get a lot of 2nd votes of each other's supporters.
  4. I think AV is probably fairer, with the current system someone can win with 30% of the vote whilst being hated by the majority of the electorate. AV would be fairer if you didn't have to list all 5 in order, you should be able to just vote for your first choice if you want, otherwise you will get meaningless votes counted.
  5. Shut the f*ck up then.
  6. LOL at all the ***ts who ripped into Lawrie without even reading the article. F*ckwits.
  7. The USA economy is all about the private companies, most of the "trillions spent" as you put it would go to the American arms industry. Companies like Blackwater providing security are making billions - there are more private security personel in Iraq than American troops. The big corporations were the ones pulling the strings - the oil contracts were worth billions and Bush was up to his nuts in the oil industry. Another important thing is not just who profits from the oil but who CONTROLS the supply of oil. Oil worldwide is only ever sold in dollars so the US economy is effected by rises and falls in the price which is determined by supply. Saddam Hussein was a nasty dictator - but so is half the middle east so that can't be an excuse. Saddam Hussein sponsored terrorism in Palestine - definitely a motivation for the US to kick his ass but no excuse to kill hundreds of thousands. The Iraqi military barely had a working tank thanks to the years of sanctions, the idea that they had working WMDs is laughable, the US and UK knew 100% there were none IMO. A country HAVING WMDs has never been an excuse to invade, the opposite is true - do you really think they would have attacked if Iraq had the capability to gas half of Tel Aviv?
  8. No one has said they would rather have Mitchell but the success of a football club is judged by how well the team is doing, not by what buildings have been built. The Chairman is ultimately responsible for that success because he chooses the manager, creates the environment for him to work in and signs the cheques for the players. I am more than happy with how things are going at Saints, just think Bournemouth have done very well and it's only fair Mitchell should take credit for that
  9. Of course I wouldn't rather have Mitchell, but football clubs are judged on results and at the moment, given the resources they have, Bournemouth have WAY out performed Saints, even if we win our games in hand (which we might not). We have spent more than any other League 1 club, Bournemouth have sold 3 of their best players and hardly spent a penny - mid-table would have been a good achievement for them this season. If Cortese had us in 2nd spot, having not spent a penny, cashed in on 3 of our best players and promoted a player to manager he would be being hailed as a genius.
  10. You seriously think, given the resources available to both chairman, that SFC have been out performing Bournemouth this season? Bizarre!
  11. Just putting it into perspective, Mitchell is being portrayed as some sort of loud mouthed idiot yet on results so far he is out performing our chairman. He's obviously a t!t, but I expect he's just trying to drum up interest to sell some tickets, nothing wrong with that.
  12. I don't think there is any chance of getting rid of season tickets, it doesn't make sense. In theory they would get more money if everyone went to every game paying on a match by match basis, in reality alot of ST holders will end up just going to the games they fancy. I always miss a few games because of holidays etc, plus there have been times where the fact that I have already paid gets my ass to the game. If I had to shell out £20 every time, suddenly Dagenham & Redbridge on a cold November evening becomes way less appealing than a night on the couch. There wont be any early bird discounts because cash flow is not an issue, I expect they are waiting to see what league we will be in anyway before they set pricing.
  13. To be fair, this idiot Mitchell has his side 5 points above us in a promotion place, having spent naff all.
  14. Because Iraq’s proven oil reserves of about 112 billion barrels, the world’s second largest behind Saudi Arabia, couldn't possibly be motivation.
  15. Mitchell is just trying to sell their tickets.
  16. Not more than 3.
  17. None of these issues with Cortese is important in the whole scheme of things. The only important things a football club chairman has to do is a) find a good manager (tick) and b) Find funds for the manager (tick). He has made some mistakes, the 4 things St Jason mentioned could all have been handled batter, that is without doubt. he obviously has little understanding of the culture of English football and the nature of the fans - hopefully that will change through time because these PR gaffs will do nothing to help SFC.
  18. It's fine being omnivores, what's ****ed up is how our governments let animals get treated this way in our farms. The video showed extreme cases but even "acceptable" farming practices in this country are disgustingly cruel.
  19. Even if they have changed there is no harm keeping them on the register just in case.
  20. Face it, humans are c*nts.
  21. Rubbish, I definitely remember Saddam repeatedly saying he didn't have any WMDs.
  22. Apparently they played rugger on it not long ago so it was looking like a cow field anyway.
  23. Charlton losing will be massive for us. We need Powell's honeymoon to end ASAP.
  24. I think she has a case, "irritating to skin" is not exactly accurate is it.
  25. Nice gesture, well done Nicola and the club.
