£12mill a season is a lot of gate money. Live within our means and we are just a Derby or Leicester.

I think you might be surprised at how many people don't spend their spare time staring at a computer screen, especially among the elderly.
-
What if you are 90 years old and don't have a computer. Or just maybe prefer to read your local paper?
-
That's nonsense, we will not be a big fish in the Championship especially up against clubs with 40mill parachutes to throw around.
-
I think some people might possibly like pictures to go with their match reports.
-
I think the aim is to get us in the top half of the Prem, then sell. But you don't go from League 1 to there in 5 years by living within your means, it's possible but very unlikely.

A five year plan would hint at serious investment.

If Cortese's plans are as ambitious as what is being said then an extension or new stadium is essential IMO. I think many Saints fans underestimate the potential at the club, we regularly sold out SMS and that was without any real success or investment.

Who gives a **** what he thinks? -
If true then more pathetic nonsense form Cortese.
-
Man City havn't spent much since the transfer window shut either.

The marketing agency who thought that up should all be herded out into a field and machine-gunned. Why the **** would a bank have a radio station? Apart from the actors being tossers the whole concept is ****.

Hope we get Vauxhall Motors because I think their cars are sh!t.

The badge should have been retro, following the concept of the shirt IMO. The shirt looks nice on it's own but not keen on the full strip but it's appropriate. I would definitely go for a modern, stripey design next season.

Damn, all my recent work has been for Ltd companies with proper invoices and stuff. Guess I'm going to have to only work for cash from now on. But surely me selling my services is no different to me selling something on ebay?

I have a question, if anyne is kind enough to help. If you have a day job but do a bit of work on the side, at what point to you have to tell the tax man and file returns and all that stuff? I started doing the odd job as a favour and it's sort of ballooned, my mate says it's fine and you only have to declare it at a certain amount. I don't really trust him though, he's done lots of drugs.

LOL at all the jealous mongs having a pop at someone because they actually know something.

Not really irrelevant, if we play a scheduled midweek game the team we play on the Saturday would also have played midweek so it's no disadvantage either way. The only disadvantage could be when we play a rearranged midweek game due to an FA cup run. A friend of mine is good friends with another League 1 manager and he says they are "Glad" to be out of the JPT - that's a word of a professional football manger. Our results for last year following cup games don't prove that it was a distraction but it proves beyond any doubt that winning cup games creates a "winning habit" than transfers into league form. I think we probably played more games than Man Utd last year, it had to be a distraction IMO when the ONLY thing that mattered was getting promoted.

Results in league games following cup ties last year... Huddersfield A - Lost Stockport A - Lost Southend A - Won Brighton H - Lost Wycombe H - Won Leeds A - Lost Millwall A - Draw Brentford A - Draw Norwich A - Won Brighton A - Draw Not great

That's the only thing keeping me optimistic about them getting a points penalty. You can guarantee every other chairman in the Championship will more than share our opinion. The fact that they are not openly saying anything hints at their concerns being dealt with behind the scenes. Remember, it turned out all the Prem chairmen wanted them closed down, nothing was said at the time though because the PL knew they would be shot of them.
-
It's a bit misleading, the effects are only worse because so many more people use it. It's like saying driving is more dangerous than base-jumping because more people die in car crashes.
-
I think we will pass the **** out of them and give them a thorough spanking.

The last time pompey were in the 3rd tier they averaged 8,544.

I understand that, but I expect there are also companies doing very well but use the "hard times" as an excuse not to pay people any more.
