  2. Adkins' interview on saintsplayer suggests another player will be in the building very soon.
  3. Solid 7/10.
  4. In other news: http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/championship/78346/brightons-new-stadium-falls-foul-of-builders-cheeky-bird-poo-seating-prank.html
  5. Bennett the CB, Kenwyne Jones couldn't hit a barn door for several weeks, Fuller was useless to begin with and then sold when he got good.
  6. Schneiderlin and Cork have the most ability.
  7. I went with a 'when in Rome' attitude, but upon reflection, thats no excuse for contributing to a morally indefensible activity, really, is it?
  8. I was there. They were fantastic. Not liking mainstream music is so mainstream these days.
  9. Lies!
  10. He should be our number 1 target in my opinion. Would be delighted if we got him.
  11. That is what I was afraid of happening to us. Gutted for Huddersfield, thought they would turn the screw in the second half.
  12. Baird was phenomenal that season, would take him back in a flash. Pleased to see he's doing well in the Prem.
  13. The most painful moment for me was on neither of the relegation days, but Villa at home in 2005. Two nil up and cruising, think we had previously beaten Spurs at home and Boro away, I really thought we could finish around 15th. The second half was an absolute joke and I was devastated for days, I knew it was over then.
  14. Disagree, I think he's been one of the brighter points of an otherwise terrible season for them.
  15. My housemate is a WHU fan, he's devastated. He's sure Upson will be snapped up due to the 'common misconception that he's a decent player'. Obviously Parker is gone but Noble, Hines and Sears might hang around. If they get a decent young manager in then they will certainly be a threat. He's thinking Allardyce, Poyet or maybe Hughton.
  16. I was there. The longer I watched the more confident I became about next season, although you're right, Swansea looked good with their pace in the first half. Can also report that the atmosphere was pretty poor considering it was a playoff game, compare it to the two we had in '07 and the City Ground was a bit of an embarrassment last night.
  17. This is one of the best things I have ever seen.
  18. A couple of films I've enjoyed recently: Michael Clayton - George Clooney is just very watchable. Not an action film but the characters are well developed and its very well shot. Got it on DVD soon after. Requiem for a Dream - Hadn't ever seen this so I downloaded it. Superbly directed by Darren Aronovsky, brilliantly done nightmareish sequences like in his new film "Black Swan". Just a fantastic movie. Moon - really interesting themes. Definitely worth a watch.
  19. Home to Plymouth, Leyton Orient, Brighton, Huddersfield, Charlton, Bristol, Hartlepool and Walsall. Away to Notts County, Charlton and Orient. Pretty much depends on term dates but I get to every home game I'm back for.
  20. Was impressed with Cork a few years ago, would like to see him back here. I don't know much about Wade Elliot, is he a winger? If we can keep AOC I don't really see the need to sign one, except as cover. Unless it was Keith Treacy from Preston, he's looked good every time I've seen him play. How about Vokes if he doesn't stay on at Norwich? Probably a better chance if Wolves stay up. Always liked Billy Jones, good utility player at Crewe. Has he become an out and out RB now? Boyd if P'boro stay down?
  21. I thought Orient was the first time we hit 2nd? That was a massive result, too, with Huddersfield and Pboro drawing.
  22. 7.30 train back from Notts on friday night, essay already done this week before monday's deadline. Arrive farnham 12.30, get some kip. Polish off essay saturday morning. Pick up mate at 12 from camberley, drive down to St Marys. Have a think about essay structure during drive. Couple of pints before the match, possibly invest in centenary strip with 'Lambert 7' on the back. 3 hours of celebrations, pitch invasion, singing. Head back to farnham for a takeaway and a couple more beers. Sunday train back to Notts. Finish essay hastily.
  23. Ten years of saints supporting now, and today I am proud. Adkins has done a fantastic job, the confidence and resilience since he took over has been plain to see. Can't wait until saturday to celebrate with the players. Now lets see what we can do in the NPC.
  24. Anybody else have a sneaky desire for us to need the win on the final day? Imagine the roar if/when we put the ball in the net... Probably just me.
  25. I'm listening to that as well, its terrible radio - arguing with texts who have taken the goal difference into account.
