  1. A text would have been easier than having to clear the spiders cobwebs and dust off your Saintsweb account.
  2. I expect it is too, but alongside the Leeds Liverpool canal you will find it, don't google it because that will spoil the fun.
  3. One of the 8 wonders of the World.
  4. Looks like another ground to be ticked off my list
  5. That’s still only a possibility until Monday night...... Wigan seem to have used the FA cup to let their hair down this season as a welcome distraction away from getting out of league one
  6. Did I just hear on BT sport that the draw is tonight???!!
  7. Has anyone else had a crack at the Quiz that the club post on the O S at the end of most weeks. It has a connection to that weekends Saints game where you have a set amount of time to answer something like the one before we went to Stamford Bridge, "Can you identify these 15 players that played for both Saints and Chelsea". This weeks one is pretty tough to get before the time elapses, "Name all the teams Saints have faced in the FA Cup this Century". For those who haven't seen them follow the link and have a go. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-02-16/quiz-pre-west-bromwich-albion-southampton-fa-cup-1718 If your answer is right the box will tell you and clear, if it's wrong you have to clear the box yourself. Triggers a few memories................and nightmares
  8. Gao: Wonderful!! Liverpool on the TV what a treat!!
  9. You can't beat a perpetual thread title
  10. Cripes!! We better enter into negotiations with Eastleigh to discuss a ground share with them - with that criteria of entry if you add in the foam hands and face paints to the prohibitions, we should just about fill the Silverlake stadium!! ..............oh and I had better find something else to do on a home game Saturday!
  11. Next home game there will be lots of cute fluffy puppies outside the ground pre match and sweeties on everyone’s seats once inside.
  12. Bet he still has his Socialist Worker delivered by subscription just to seen to be keeping him in touch with his fellow comrades fighting the capitalist oppressors!
  13. I have always liked football, I guess making the trips down the Saints from North Hampshire in my early teens cemented that. I hated Rugby Union probably because at the same time it was the first sport on the PE agenda at the school I went to, but jeez what (to me at the time) a frustrating game, all the games teacher seemed to be doing was blow his flipping whistle every 5 seconds, bizarrely I did enjoy watching Rugby League I guess because of the flow of the game by comparison. As I have gotten older I can quite happily sit through a 6 nations game and more often than not enjoy it, I suppose it’s a bit like never really enjoying Red Wine in my late teens and early twenties, and now it’s the first thing I peruse on the win3 list in a restaurant.
  14. Blimey the KNVB must have gone into super grovel mode after the stink between them and Ronald, when Koeman was ignored when Van Gaal stepped down.
  15. Think you will find that the cheering was more people's shock at a double sub at half time as opposed to 78 minutes and 37 seconds.
  16. Am I missing something here?! Boycott the next away game against WBA? Which I believe is this coming Saturday? Today is Thursday so today - tomorrow- Matchday. I would imagine that like me most people will have already got their preparation to go sorted 2 days before an away game, so the only thing they would be doing is shooting themselves in the wallet and foot at the same time. Club wouldn't give a tinkers cuss because they would have already have recouped the bulk away ticket allocation outlay.
  17. Cynic in me wonders if we do have our very own Oyston.
  18. ........... I thought Chinese Triad hit men.
  19. As someone pointed out a couple of years ago, under the current fair play money rules that now exist in the Football League. If today was the day Markus walked into the club sat in league one, we would not have been able to rise back to the top in the style and speed that we did due to the spending restrictions now in place. Newcastle (and probably Burnley) was an anomaly as they seemed to manage to keep some good players in their squad after relegation, which enabled them to bounce back, look at so many others who have dropped through the trap door they have languished in mid table or lower ever since. Anyone thinking it will be a cake walk should the worse happen ain't living in the real world of football.
  20. I have one of them sat behind me, Spurs game it was becoming like a dripping tap, he doesn't get emotional standing up swearing at the players, he is a bit like Harry Enfield's character "ooo you don't want to do it like that...... You want to do it like this". Recent weeks the impressionable young chap sat next to him has been drawn into his whirlpool, and it's slowly becoming a double act of negativity, and cobblers.
  21. The half time Relay went totally to pot without Kenzie v Spurs, one poor little mite ran away in tears, and the final leg went haywire!! ............. oooo its the thin end of the wedge, just mark my words!!
  22. You have to wonder whether we rushed him back too soon after he limped off in the added minutes of the Chelsea game just before Christmas...... being a touch cynical; World Cup on the horizon you would imagine that players in the reckoning to go will be getting neurotic to any little tweek.
  23. Saints v WBA away jeez zzzzzzzzz
