  1. After reading the Cedric thread, surely it’s imperative we get Jermaine Wright back into the team on standby ahead of Rickie
  2. Pretty sure you'll be able pay on the gate.
  3. About time, in the days before the current modern surge of Womens football, into the media limelight Southamptons Ladies Football Team did alright, they were the team to fear in the Womens FA Cup for many years with 8 wins, only Arsenal are ahead of them on the trophy engravings scores.
  4. Very little chance, think he has golden handcuffs of some sort at Leurven as they are owned by King Power Thais
  5. Hooray Billy is in a better place........... that is probably the first one of these for a while that’s had me smiling at the end.
  6. ......Back to the Golf at Wentworth: by comparison to Barton, Robbie Savage posed for as many photos and signed as many autographs as he could without holding up play. Actually my opinion of Savage improved just before the Coventry promotion game when he and Strachan were walking round the pitch to go up to the commentary spot at the back of the Kingsland. As they walked in front of the Itchen stand people spotted WGS and stood to applaud him, Robbie Savage quickly noted who it was for and started slowing down leaving Wee Gordon to take the appreciation of the crowd on his own.......................... still spouts a load of cobblers at times!!
  7. Of course:stinkers!! Feel free to correct me on this too: weren't were on target to being the first team to get both League Cup and FA Cup finals in the same season up until that point?
  8. Whitey is right, cant be a 4pm KO on a Saturday and televised there is an embargo on live televised football to the home market between 3pm and 5pm on a Saturday. If it were to happen it would be absolutely superb for me to get to Heathrow by 8pm ish!
  9. According to a mate I caught up with this morning, Joey Barton was pontificating on Talkshoite that Hughes wasn't a man manager when he was his boss at QPR, hardly spoke to him. Like I said to my mate MH could probably see right through Barton and probably felt his efforts were better spent elsewhere. As an aside I saw Joey Barton at the Wentworth Golf PGA ProAm event, just about every Celeb interacted with the spectators when they were close to them with a smile, except Barton who had a face like a smacked backside.
  10. I am hoping that it is Sunday then I don't have to beat myself up trying to figure out how I can get to the game and get to Heathrow for 7:30pm as no doubt it would be a tea time game. And there was me when the fixtures came out happy at the scheduled fixture being Leicester away and dismissing the FA Semi-Final alongside it in brackets.
  11. Well done!...........and Imagine that’s most welcome.
  12. Lucky you got; 4-5 inches of snow on the ground be nice to just get out of our road!!! Bloody the Russians!
  13. Just outside Basingstoke flippin snowing fit to bust, anyone hit a main road yet?
  14. They could still end up with the away dressing room, which is one of those silly mental things football psychologists can’t account for.
  15. That’s a bugger with (as posted above) alternative #1 closed, alternative #2 to the M40 is likely to be immensely dodgy.
  16. Bite the bullet with the M6 toll AND keep your eye on AA Roadwatch for the pain in the bottom roadworks on the M6 from Sandbach to Holmes Chapel for a possible detour onto the A34 from junction 16 at Stoke.
  17. You’re not staying in the Penine Manor Hotel by any chance?
  18. For those of you in the north of the county over in to Surrey Camberley etc, who might go via the M4 and up to the M40 via Maidenhead the A404 is closed at Marlow up to the M40 junction at High Wycombe, also the M5 has painful roadworks from junction 3 up to the M6.
  19. Should have told them to get stuffed, just like they did when they made us play our FA cup 5th round tie on the Tuesday after we played the 1979 League Cup final and we asked for the game to be on Wednesday instead and they refused. Sorted a bit of a Boys night out on the Monday.
  20. There is a photo in the stills gallery of Boufal and Lemina, Boufal has a look on his face like some one has found the key to his and Leminas leg irons.
  21. Hmmmm something fishy here Heisenburg - (Glasgow) - Alpine they are one and the same person. Posting within minutes "of each other" and posting the same with re arranged words.
  22. He’s their kingpin, my cousins support Bury and asked that we crock him out of their game v Wigan the following weekend.
  23. The one thing Bilic said he learned as his failing at WH was being too chummy with the players, and losing his "power" over them. You look at even senior players with many years under their belts at Man U managed by SAF, he commanded respect and fear regardless of the players own perceived "superstar" status. Until this season West Ham were steady eddies top half club, having learned that lesson Bilic might be more effective in his next role.
  24. Plus they have that grinning fool Sir Trevor Brooking as their trump card, with both feet set in concrete up to his knees in both camps. They will just get a little tickle on the wrists, rather than being made an example of to nip that kind of behavior in the bud.............. being a cynic in my old age a behind closed doors match would be very much in their favour.
  25. What a treat - a bonus edition. Thanks Glen I have to say the comments about Hughes at Dellhurst Park and being 36 having had a glittering playing career in the days before today’s levels of sport science, throws a bit of perspective on his time with us.
