  1. Won’t happen - finalists fit the narrative of the product - 2 English teams buggers the revenue for UEFA- the pull back on Foden un punished set the tone
  2. Wonder how long the ref is going to leave this game on a very lax leash
  3. No Mrs JBS was watching on FB - she wanted to see who of the Ladies won as the competition was pretty tough in all categories - if you reversed the fan interest of the 1st Team with Ladies Team and ran a vote - Goal and Player of the season would have been an interesting result as there is so much good to chose from.
  4. Players player of the season was a unanimous decision according to compare Chappers.
  5. Has someone found this gem in the back of a cupboard for inspiration?
  6. As an aside - someone played a blinder with a 60p stake on a 16 game accumulator over the weekend - pocketed just over £150,000.
  7. I expect so, but as it’s a Bank Holiday, I really could not be bothered to turn the lights on in that department. Sorry.
  8. The ones you’ve seen given - that was a rather generous decision for United
  9. Sprinkle on top of that Redmond sitting on the gate of the acre Eze was standing in, admiring the view, without a thought that the Palace man was about to receive the ball.
  10. Seems the "bingo bus" has sold out as its showing as no longer available when you click through the link - but then there is a comment on the OS page to keep checking. It was showing the same on Saturday morning when I looked, then at half time Saturday it was advertised by the announcer again.
  11. Hows the weather in the delightful Hamlet of Pedantry this Bank Holiday Monday 😃
  12. Sheer bloody luck?
  13. As an aside - saw something on FB earlier Newcastle ladies played Alnwick at St James park in Division One North, they had 22,000 in attendance!!!
  14. Just one question, bringing it back on topic, when, I’m guessing, Bednarek and Matteta were rolling about together on the floor first half, was it just me or did I see a Palace punch swung?
  15. If anyone can pull being relegated with 40 points on the the board for the first time in ages - it’s us! 😳😜🤪
  16. Word within the walls at the time of the departure was ST sales plummeted - few phone calls to lapsed renewers had a re-occurring response of dull and boring football and not paying to watch that - this allegedly had an influence on the decision.
  17. From my seat at the final whistle - the whole performance was summed up in the latter minutes with half arsed passes of poor quality to no one in particular. I have to admit, after 45 years of clicking through the turnstile down the Saints - it’s all getting a bit tiresome now and do I want to commit to 19 home games anymore.
  18. Think I’ll not seek out trying to view it…………and go and play Golf - weather looks like it could be good.
  19. And they say Lightening never strikes twice - fuck me we must live in the equivalent of Tornado Alley. I uttered to Mrs JBS at the time that I didn’t think he had scored for yonks.
  20. The gift that keeps on giving
  21. We’re on the beach mate
  22. Hmmmmmm - do I wear the new lucky Calvins that worked for the Arsenal game?............... or are they only lucky because of the combination of wearing them AND starting Arsenal thread?.............what a dilemma! .............I could nick a pair of Mrs JBS's and hope I don't get hit by a bus on the Northam road. (or caught by her) 😉 Ah well, as the man said on the Burnley Sky commentary "Southampton are like a box of Forrest Gumps chocolates".................. better not be the Orange Cream!
  23. Forgot the final of that was on - one of my customers shops was the blank canvas for one round in the last series.
  24. It’s a bit like having savoured a culinary masterpiece main course, as mum clears the plates away she exclaims “oh damn! I forgot to get the Viennetta out of the freezer”.
  25. With other stuff going on, I’ve been a bit out of touch last few days, caught up with MOTD 2 last night before reading Billy’s match report and this troubling news - when he hit the deck Saints player waving to stop the game instantly, few Brighton players close by also paused as if they knew what just happened - bit like when J-Rods went and the closest City player to him kicked the ball straight out. The house of JBS wish Tino well with his recovery.
