how do you the post count? I'm sure most post belong to just a few, besides, there is nothing to stop them starting an 'update....' thread.

The rate in Spain now for any new contracts is 43%, Germany is 45%, Italy is 43% while France is 40%. So would the difference (10% or less) be worth a move away from home? I can understand not so many foreign stars coming over but the english players don't do playing abroad.

That wasn't so much of a problem, it was the way they did it especially this time of year with the weather patterns in the US.

And that's the whole point, if Alpine used the form up until that date to predict where Saints would finish last season, it was shown to be wrong. I don't know what Alpine is predicting this season or what he is basing it on. I've seen the lack of cover in central midfield, lack of pace, lack of creativity, not a good pre-season and AP not knowing how to play the team. Worked at a motorway services while between courses. I lasted 3 months but was amazed at how some workers were there after a few years. It was dull. The best part was working on the huge dishwasher (3m long) when it was busy as you just kept you going for the whole shift. Nights where OK as you could scoff the decent food! There are certain things I wouldn't eat because of the experience of working there such as pies, although the dishes were put through the dishwasher most of the time there wasn't time to clean them properly so for the next customer there was a bit of pastry from the previous pie! Also the cream desserts only got changed when a customer complained it was off. That was 22 years ago so it would be interesting to see if practises have changed. Soon got out of that as the money was **** poor as well as the management.

It's not exactly what you'd call saving up for a CVA! Paying off contracted players at a rate of up to £3k a week (£150k a year) in exchange for a more competent player adding more on to the wage bill. Maybe they could be excused if they have raised more than £15m required to service the CVA but are currently £11.4m short. But no, all AA can bleat about is a level playing field and being competitive and we've all heard that before!

Agree, but with nearly three weeks left to purchase a ST, if the 15,000 mark is achieved I would rate that as significant and it looks a distinct possibility.
