  1. I expect this has something to do with it... "At relegation threatened Bournemouth co-owner Paul Baker, a lifelong Chester City supporter, is trying to sell his 50 per cent stake. He has admitted that he has no more money to put into the club. The Supporters' Trust have issued a highly critical statement about the financial situation at the club, in particular a plan to sell 2009/10 season tickets well in advance to raise some money. If the club goes insolvent again, fans could lose their money."
  2. Depends on the agreement with the council on what could be built there. There may have been regulations or agreements regarding retail and leisure outlets. Besides the costs would have dramatically increased from the off-the-shelf stadium we have at the moment to purpose built complex.
  3. You obviously have a problem reading complete sentences!!
  4. heart says: Cardiff (h) win Ipswich (a) lose Birmingham (a) draw Derby (h) draw QPR (h) win head says: Cardiff (h) draw Ipswich (a) lose Birmingham (a) draw Derby (h) lose QPR (h) draw Birmingham are awful under McLeish considering the quality under his disposal so a win is possible especially if it's a mid week game and only 12k fans there.
  5. now for the tricky part... name them!
  6. At least sid's staggeringly irrelevant bit of information made sense!
  7. I thought it was the execs that were working this not the three major shareholders. Can you clarify FC?
  8. ... and a decent manager (although McLeish is defying the odds so far!)
  9. When does the MLS season start?
  10. Probably because he wouldn't have tried the dutch experiment. Wasn't it Crouch that sent Rasiak and Skacel off on loan? Two high earners. There are many ways to lower outgoings and still get a team that is capable of competing -Swansea, Doncaster, Preston, Blackpool...etc If we had gates that only dropped ~1% (FL average) instead of the 26% that has happen, it would have helped further stablise the finances.
  11. Mike to Rupert: 'You wouldn't mind passing the tissues Mr Chairman'
  12. I would consider it... obviously it would depend on the benefits given, but I would consider it.
  13. I didn't realise Wotte had a reputation to ruin.
  14. Out of interest are you counting Plymouth as his first game?
  15. If Wotte keeps us up then it would be a fantastic achievement, at least twice as good as Pearson. I just can't see it though.
  16. We just cannot create those clear cut chances...getting behind the defensive line at home. It was always going to be hard to cut through teams organised to defend and counter attack. I cannot see where the home wins will come from.
  17. No that's the police (the bullies), the stewards were the ones holding the bully's coat.
  18. I didn't realise Wotte was a mate of yours.
  19. When Reading got promoted the first time, they used 15 players in their starting line up in the whole season. There is a trend the more players used for the starting line ups during the season the lower down the league table they are.
  20. ...they get snow EVERY year lasting for a few months so have the equipment to deal with it. Easy really. London gets the worst snowfall in 18 years.
  21. Wotte has said no... will possibly see him on Saturday.
  22. I don't get, Greenridge posted some information - didn't pass judgement but you have a go at him about his post. Also, how do the stats question his footballing ability? He might be a reasonable player, just unable to show it due to his fitness, which is a prerequisite to be a footballer.
  23. Can't you invite them for a friendly and assess... LOL
  24. I wonder what price we are holding out for Dyer then?
