If Kevin Davies cannot 'cook' a pop tart in a Dualit toaster then I can't see him coming up with some of the stuff that is in the book!

That would be great. Nice to have a selection of fine dining to bar food with a beer. Great suggestions, thanks everyone.

I'll be staying in Manly so that is covered! I'm thinking of the bus tour as I've been on a few at other cities and they have been good value.

I'll be on a business trip next month and I'll have a free weekend in Sydney so if anyone can recommend places for evenings out, good restaurants and site seeing I would be very grateful. Looking to see a performance at the Opera House, but that is as far as I've got!

And a shame to see the FA hasn't changed in those 40 years!
-
Too many shìt coaches and lack of direction from the FA and their fuddy-duddy ways I'm afraid. They haven't driven football but let the big clubs do it, hence the PL receiving the most money. They should have built St George's park 30 years ago, got a better deal for Wembley and invested more in grass roots football.

Just saw it in action against Torquay on SSNews and seemed OK. The model shots are atrocious though!

That's the old sand based astro. The new lot is much better.

When you get the lawn back to a good state, get a heavy roller that'll help reduce the weeds and ants for the future.

There were no paint pot matches last night. Good to see the council loan paid back, with interest. I wonder what the council will do with the money earned?

Seven Saints Academy Aces - look at them now!

Playing together for so long will as help their understanding of each others play and benefit the team. It's great to see the development of the academy players blossom into first teamers. -

Oh... Thought he did well last season. Is it to make room for someone coming in? -
Prediction: FIRST PREM MANAGER TO GET THE SACK?

Agree, they are in trouble already! PDC will survive, a canny operator. -
I think much depends on Turnbull and Stephens making good progress this season. At the moment we have two good stand-ins in JH and JF.

Based on last season thirteen other teams. The main concern now is consistency. Utd, City and Chelsea are way ahead. We could give Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton and Swansea a good run but at least half of them would be more consistent, so 7/8th place is doable. Anything above that would be dream land. Happy with top half finsh this year.

He's an extremely versatile option, who can play up front on his own, in a strike partnership, off the left or off the right. His preference is to play as a lone striker, arriving late in the box and becoming the primary outlet for his team. At Roma, Francesco Totti occupied the false-nine/deep-lying forward role all season, with both Osvaldo and Erik Lamela cutting in with deadly effect from the flanks. He combined fantastic technique with a well-rounded physical presence and a predatory eye for the golden finish.

Did he really complain to the FA or just have a moan to the press?

Tokos that's naughty of you, but it's drawn out the counter attack from Baz which is funnier! -
Not necessarily so, many of the contracts now include performance related pay so it will be hard to judge what a player may get, partly why it takes time for a player to sign these days.

Q1: What were your opinions of your first season back in the Premier League? Considering the start, fixtures and defensive blunders quite reasonable. Also strange with a decent manager in Adkins being replaced but at least we got an upgrade and the football remains great to watch. The season tailed off at the end which was dissappointing but showed we missed having a player like Coutinho who we were after in January and a striker that can convert chances. Q2: What are your expectations for the upcoming season? Mid-table 10-12th, if we get a decent striker then maybe up to 8th. Q3: What are you expecting from West Brom this season? More of the same as last season but not so good with only Anelka and Lugano as additions or is this Odemwingie chance? Will a 34 year old Anelka be able to score 20 a season? Q4: Happy with the clubs transfer business so far? OK, will be happy with a striker joining, ecstatic with a creative midfielder in addition. A couple of academy players have joined the first team so it'll be interesting to see how they do. It seems so much better to be able to produce your own. Q5: What other positions need adding to before the close of the transfer window? Striker really. Q6: Favourite memories of games against West Brom? 3-2 win in 07-08 Championship season, John banged a brace in the season we stayed up and you went up as champions iirc. Q7: Worst memories of games against West Brom? Last season at home, poor performance all round and let Lukaku do the business, just when we should have started to climb the table a bit more. Q8: The previous game between the sides finished 0-3. What were your opinions on this game? see above! Q9: And finally, score predictions draw, 1-1.

Who is to be praised for the clearing out the deadwood?

And not forgetting there is a time element for each contract which both parties sign in agreement. -
I remember talking to a scout and he identified Powell as the weak link in the defence in what he did (eg. stay too close to opponent and was easily turned) and also was likely to get a booking with some dirty play! not a great player.
