I preferred Tuchel to Koeman two years ago, if Tuchel was impressed by him then he gets my vote too!

Sorry, I missed off the bit 'if true'. Didn't know it was a Sky quote.

Not the best move by the club! There are some information which shouldn't have been shared. That is one.

That's a shame. Age shouldn't be a factor (and against the law). It's whether the candidate has the attributes, attitude and characteristics to apply to the role which is important. I hope the black box goes into more detail than listing managerial statistics. We can all create an Excel spreadsheet of one those. I'd hope the Saints management team would be able to have a chat with likely candidates at various football gatherings to gain insights of what makes them tick, be able to see what they brought to previous clubs and such like.

Thanks for reposting. It's a shame that it went off the rails and no plan to mitigate against it. Hopefully the board will learn and be true to their vision.

And Koeman's world beating stats are? Your comment comes across that only fantastic 'stats' will do. Those elite managers are beyond Saints and have egos to match, besides there is more to just having a good CV. Are they suitable for the club? An unknown aspect fans don't know. The club have a strategy which hasn't failed yet. Sevilla is built in the same mould as us, so a good fit if he wants to try a different league. The guy who brings the talent in is also leaving the club, forget which PL team has poached him, could be Everton! So another reason for him to consider moving on.

Not just a great boxer but a great man.

Depends on the replacement. If it does happen.
-
At least they have invested in a sign that will be useful for a few seasons, unlike some of the players Pompey have signed.
-
Iirc, He was under consideration by Saints last summer. Not sure if it was serious or Villa got in there first.
-
Maybe to start with while their academy gets established but I wouldn't think Yeovil would want our players blocking their new recruits to the first team. Of course, it depends on numbers. Perhaps a team like Swindon would be more likely, if locality is a key requirement. A team that would perform well in league one with aspirations to get into the championship.

CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons

Really want him to stay but if he did go, I would not be happy with anything below £33.75m -
Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)
Doctoroncall replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
Until UEFA resolve the inequality (yeah right) it will always be the exposure that will benefit the club most. Brand management and all that will lead to other things... More PL TV games, sponsors etc -
It would be interesting to know how much their promotion rivals spent in actually achieving their goal.

K.Billy: "5 players want to leave this Summer"
Doctoroncall replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
It would be nice to keep players but what Leicester have shown is that team dynamics are more important for a team like us that can not shell out £20m for every player we get in. Not sure to stick with seventh place prediction I've said for the last couple of seasons or to up it to fifth for this coming season. We march on. -
Not any more.

They've only completed three so far. It's a real leveller of a division. Bradford found it hard going to get out of this division.

Here's an interesting kit! https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/may/13/spanish-side-naked-body-kit-play-offs-club-deportivo-palencia

Ah, the newbie card... cough, sñigger!

Could have said that about Spurs at WHL against the baggies last week and look what happened. End of season games are harder to predict and a gamblers nightmare.

Atletico were not interested in doing a deal in January only in the summer.

Would have loved to have him after Pochettino. Maybe he'll be free when Koeman goes, who has done a good job. Wasn't there a rumour the club spoke to him as Pochettino's replacement but timing was wrong.

After signing from the French second-tier side Le Havre in January 2014 Mahrez made a steady rather than spectacular start to life in England... now PFA player of the year. It would be fantastic if Clasie can have a similar impact.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Doctoroncall replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Over the last few decades, almost all attacks in Europe have involved local people attacking local targets with locally sourced materials and weapons.
