  1. Wow, go you! If you don't understand it's ok to say so. When your income is £150m+ then the £2-3m is easily absorbed. Which demonstrates cheaper tickets are possible and doesn't make as big an impact as the OP suggested and I haven't stated they should be cheaper. There are better ways to cut costs than relying on ticket prices increases to bridge the gap. I would expect the average PL transfer is more than a 10% increase in ticket price. However, I would argue that some clubs do not wish to be run in a sustainable way considering the PL having to introduce FFP rules. Some clubs will spend regardless up to the limit, either by having an owner injecting some cash or suffer the consequences.
  2. So say £20m for tickets, if they cost 20 percent less, then that £4m wouldn't be a great lose in the grand scheme, with a potential of increased match day sales from more fans attending, so maybe a £2-3m lose at the end.
  3. What percentage is the ticket price in the matchday revenue?
  4. Just the recipe for another season in league two.
  5. That's typical, gloating on how well financial they are on the back of those renegotiated deals and the 98% wiped out debt.
  6. As Stage Hypnosis relies on people willingly acceptable to suggestion or happy to comply to instructions, I don't think they will be short on volunteers!
  7. I doubt he would be able to get anything near that level for his next contract even as a free agent, unless his agent is fantastic or is a mate of Harry.
  8. Guardian have a knowledge page on the closest derby record, not good reading for the bestest.
  9. Exactly, if they say they are pundits, surely a bit of research would have given them what is important to all the teams. It seems a bit lazy to rely on who is left in the squad. Doing a bit of investigation is not a foolproof approach but he'd certainly gain plaudits having stated something new and probably be more accurate in his predictions. The only issue which didn't help is not knowing the whole squad if he was predicting before a ball was kicked and the potential for further loses. Perhaps pundits should wait until the end of the transfer window before making a judgement. I haven't a clue who is going down, it's pure guess work as I don't know much about the other teams and don't have the time to do the research. But I don't call myself a football pundit.
  10. I have to agree, the same thing happened to me! Great food first time but then about four years back, it lost its flavour.
  11. Her hair always looks that bad. There is no bloom in that picture!
  12. Lowest wage bill in the FL and rely on frees and loans so he's done well so far. Must be another reason.
  13. This article will give you an insight, but basically, he's the front man of the Ashley regime, plays players out of position and has loaned out their most creative player to Hull.
  14. Belbin is not a personality test as such but team role based on perception (self and others). It is a very useful tool and can help teams get a result! psychometrics tests have some check questions which do not count in the test but act as aid to investigator if the person completing the test is bull****ting, so if you do the random answers, this may show up.
  15. So will the Saintsweb be connecting to other Saints message boards from around the globe?
  16. I was surprised it was only Spurs after him, United, Arsenal and Liverpool would improve greatly with him in the team, none of whom have a proper DM.
  17. So use the £30m profit to buy up other companies to generate income? A different idea, the company I work for make more money from the investments than the product they make!

  19. Nicely put and agree with that. If the club can invest the revenue generated wisely, the team can continue to progress and depending on how other teams spend their money the Saints could climb the table or have a better chance of a cup run/win. Much then rests on the scouting and academy departments to deliver.
  20. As the window is closed now, change in predictions: Man City Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool . Saints 8th (unchanged) . West Ham C Palace Burnley It's tight at the bottom with many teams improving their sides in the last week of the window.
  21. Redmond has PL experience which is a bonus.
  22. A new approach to transfers, try before you buy aka, Taider.
  23. Hopefully ends their interest in MS.
  24. When does his current contract run out?
  25. Much will depend on what the club think about Rodriquez's recovery and attitude as well as Gallagher's progression as to whether another striker comes in. Mayuka is not an option.
