Does anyone want my Man U ticket? Pick up from Brighton
Doctoroncall replied to bender's topic in The Saints
Don't worry, I'm sure another 30,000 odd will turn up as well. -
So much more lower league football to enjoy!

Not when he's having secret talks with Man U.
-
And I don't think we have now. Perhaps an irritant or two with little debating skills but still able to share an opinion. The worst part is the diatribe or the patronising comments especially on the poster.

- but that is in regard to their England careers. - consideration for them for a transfer would be playing at a higher level, greater chance of winning silverware, potentially more money against new regime/environment, chance of not playing/fitting into the team.

Tomorrow is another day when something else will happen. All we can do is wait for the end of August to be sure of what the squad will look like for next season. I just hope that of the first team regulars, it's two or less that leave and suitable replacements are in place in good time. We need squad stability rather than wholesale additions or changes. -
Depends on the incoming manager. It would be easier to replace one man than many men.
-
I would be happy with that and something that would separate us from the rest of the PL teams with having a core being brought through the ranks and generally being able to delivery more to the team because of it rather than buying replacements and 'gelling' all the time.
-
But then it would fly over SMS for us to receive such a message...!

A nice gloss added to the story... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/18/portsmouth-care-community-club-pompey#start-of-comments

There is something odd down Arsenal way, they have a history of many injuries or players with multiple injuries in a season. From what I understand they put a huge amount into sports science but are lead by the figures rather than use them as a guide with other information.

The best quote was at the end: '...you realise it's the perfect place to be.' lets hope the all mean it.

I think Wycombe will join Torquay.

I've been involved in systems where the focus is to keep it going, rather than working on contingency/compromise plans as any breaches means a catastrophic loss so not worth carrying on. It's a difficult concept to deal with.
-
I based it on if they are sold rather than out with a long term injury/end career, I hope that's fills the missing something. So if Shaw leaves, do you think the shed load of money received would give Saints a reasonable chance to get a suitable replacement? At the end of the day any changes to the squad will impact the squad as a whole, not just the skills they have but the togetherness and trust etc the squad has developed over the seasons.

There is something wrong here, haven't they always made life 'unbearable' for the visiting team? Perhaps they need a change of tactics, a plan B for the fans.

Not sure if I heard some booing when NC was shown on screen... can anyone confirm? ;-) -
From March Last Year: "Clubs in the Championship who do not get parachute payments currently receive £2.3m a season, League One sides £325,000 and League Two sides £250,000. It is proposed that those payments are increased by around 5% under the new offer." I'm not sure if the new offer was voted in.
-
Are you sure it's £750k each... that's £18m to League Two! I cannot believe the PL would be that generous.

No wins in five the last time Awford was caretaker. Love the ad Rallyboy, great work.

A triple substitution with 30 minutes to go by Northampton. They are going for it!
