I am not taking sides in this argument and I have no doubt that some very bad things have happened in occupied Ukraine but at the start of the conflict we saw pictures of civilian being issued with guns and being trained to use them . I admire their courage and willingness to defend their homeland . Anyone who has been in a combat situation will tell you that if some is shooting at you ,then they are the enemy and you shoot back and not check to see if they are military personnel first ,this COULD account for some of the civilian casualties.

East of the Hamble you will get nothing .That is "bandit country " and will follow anyone but Saints. North of Winchester they will always follow the big London clubs . To the West mainly Man Utd and Liverpool and never attend games ,also rugby union is a much bigger draw in places like Bath and Bristol.

It would be pointless having a larger capacity stadium because even if we won the champions league 10 years running Southampton does not have the population to increase fan numbers significantly. There only just over 300k people in Southampton and about the same number in Eastleigh and Winchester combined . So you would need about 6% of the population to be a) a football fan b) a Southampton fan c) Not be an armchair fan d) be able to afford the price of admission. You would get a few tourist but not a significant amount .

Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought the premier league was made up of each team that are in it . So each club has a representative and then they vote . If this is the case then each club must take a share of the responsibility for this situation .

Browns ,on the corner of Millbank Street and Williams street is easy walking distance to the ground and if you are early enough Bond street car park is just down the road and I believe free to park . Downside a nightmare to get out after . Of course you could always pop back into Browns and let the traffic die down.
