It is an athleitics stadium tarted up after the event as a football stadium, so hardly likely to be the best! The Emirates was designed as a stadium with nothing but football in mind and therefore knocks the socks of Westhams where square pegs and round holes come to mind!

This is 100% correct! The chances of Villa, Norwich, Wigan, Stoke and Sunderland all winning 3 or more games out of the remaining fixtures is almost zero! particulalry given many of them have hard matches against teams chasing europe and many matches against each other!

The last round of matches was very good to us apart from us only Villa and Newcastle won from the teams in 6th place down to 20th!

I will be surprised if the 3rd from bottom team this year is on more than 38 points! It Only needs one of Wigan Stoke Sunderland Aston villa and Norwich to get 4 points or less from their remaining games. Given these teams are all in the bottom half it is highly probable this will happen. you only need to look at any form table over a season to see at least 4 or 5 teams have 4 point or less from a 6 game run.

Well the chances of finishing 10th are now 15% looking at the probable outcomes and far less than 1% to be relegated. Why do people who held very credible opinions that a 10th place finish was possible have to be insulted just because you hold a differing opinion? I have supported Saints 40 years and i certainly know when we are in a relegation battle and have relegation form! We are in neither of these positions today and need to look upwards!

Probability of a 10th place finish is now 50 times that of relegation and the most likely finishing position is somewhere between 11th and 12th! So this thread makes far more sense at present!

If you look at any form table throughout the season there are almost always at least 3 teams who get 4 points or less! the last 6 games will be no different so the chances of us dropping into the last 3 are negligable ( currently around 0.3% on the Monte Carlo model of stastical outcomes) given most of the teams likely to get 4 or less points are already below us and our GD is worth another point too! We can concievably lose every match now and still have a better than 50% chance of survival a maximum of 2 more points is needed to make absolutely sure, could even be less Time to look up not down!

With the sending of of Metersacker for Arsenal and the bookings recieved by Fulham vs QPR recently we are now the side with the least card points this season. Rather surprising as our tactics are to play a pressing game and given the number of tackles our midfield puts in!
