Shearer will love it, tonight... -
It amazes me that this far into the season people still want to compare Lambert to Holt. The only comparison that justly springs to mind is Sheringham, and how old was when he won the bulk of his caps? I remember Platini being interviewed a few years after his successful tenure as France manager and he said that he felt the key to International management was to pick players on form regardless of age. Back then the comment was discussed by Saints fans with regard to Jimmy Case, it's just as relevant now with SRL...

Blimey Wade, I'd forgotten about that maniac, he was known as Brian C*nt back then. I was unlucky enough to be in a pub with him in about 1978 when Hawking rolled up heading the Oxford United crew (cup game) C*nt shouts out 'pick a window you're leaving...through the round window' - no shame, no conscience...

Why is hating pompey seen as a bad thing on this forum?

Since my earlier post I've been thinking, and now feel we should join with Portsmuff to form the Solent City Superclub, it's time to move on and look forward chaps... -
Whilst this was happening Dunn kept shouting 'don't panic, don't panic' in an attempt at irony, pathetic, and everything that was wrong with football in the 70s. I was once lucky enough to be invited to a hog roast hosted by the Sultan of Brunei and Bill Gates, and was surprised to find out neither were Saints fans...

These days I only hate Portsmuff as much as David Ben-Gurion hated Hitler, per se. Goes way beyond football, ancestral... -
Ray Allen and Lord Charles were Saints fans. Being an aristocratic puppet I was shocked to see a ZDS cup final scarf and Feasters hot dog in Lord Charles' suitcase...

This. Once we have secured our Prem status for next year, the thought of selling our first choice Eng U21 full back for £7M is absurd. Were Clyne to want away after a Chelsea approach, with three years on the contract, Cortese would ask for a sum that would make Abramovich wince!....

Got to be a full cap on the way, France don't tend to be as shortsighted as England with players picked on form...

I spotted Lord Lucan, always one step ahead of the Yard!...

Agreed. Good egg John Mortimore, used to always bump into him at motorway petrol stations on the way back from away games, and happy to chat. Hampshire lad, 250 games for Chelsea, and managed Benfica and Real Betis. Great for Saints...

Massive result, and now only three points off of Wham in eleventh. Destroy Twitchy Park Rangers and we could be in a very good place!...

Proud as punch. This is a massive, massive, result!...

A Gem. Was he wearing Cuban heels?...

I think we should lobby the owner of the Rickie Lambert Wikipedia site to change the bloody photo from a six year old Bristol Rovers shot, to a picture of him celebrating his ton for Saints!...

Probably Carroll. That's how ****ing silly the situation is! When Platini managed that great French side he stated that he picked players on form not on age. At the time this methodology was mooted to get Jimmy Case in the England side, but that never happened either!...

The country look must go down a storm in Liverpool Barry! If the Barbour has a poacher's pocket don't fill it with the Xmas consumer durables or you will represent a fantasy mugging for most scousers!...

I bet the skate c*nts bought it too. Wonder what kind of window they're having. We are taking about wingers from Valencia, at skate HQ they are debating if they can afford the diesel for the team minibus to get to Colchester... -
