Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?
Miltonaggro replied to doggface's topic in The Saints
Time Tunnel! Lol... -
This game could be a real turning point, as we were a real 'unit' today, with some outstanding contributions to the team - we have to keep Pochettino whatever it takes. When we make signings in the summer they should be to contribute to our growing alter ego as the England team! 8 points above Villa and only 5 away from Man U (8 mins of injury time, c*nts) in 7th. The future's bright, the future's red and white!...

Good day at the office today! Just look at the Skate Scum's goal difference - it will go to the wire...

Jones is the famous 'beach ball' ref, he is a f*cking lunatic...

'a Victorian confidence trickster' How apt!...

Good call Gammon, very much like a young Alan Shearer as a player. In terms of looks I think he is a ringer for one time cinematic hardcase Dolph Lundgren - perhaps we should nickname him Ivan Drago!...

Begrudging thanks to Rupert Lowe and Southampton City Council
Miltonaggro replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
Absolutely! There was also a great deal of scepticism opposition to Lowe from the first day of his tenure, of which I was a part following an interesting conversation with an old friend at PWC - does anyone remember the 'reverse takeover' deal, and the subsequent documentary. This strong opposition was also evident in SISA (who were representative of a substantial contingent of the fanbase at the time), and this didn't wane, even in the cup final year / high finish year under Strachan. As for the Saints Forever Board at the time, this was completely split on Lowe right from the earliest incarnation. Lowe saw football fans as football people as idiots who could be easily manipulated and duped, as many were. Above all else he was a chancer who was lucky enough to become a football Chairman at exactly the 'right' time, he was then lucky that the council gifted him the gas works site following the Stoneham debacle, lucky to have had Le Tissier alongside some other staff appointments (there were good, but many more bad). When the luck dried up it was very much a case of the Emperors new clothes... -
Begrudging thanks to Rupert Lowe and Southampton City Council

Spot on HM and I heartily agree, clown before he got to Saints, found out at Saints, and found out ever since. A perfect example of an arrogant, myopic, opportunist! -
Whilst with Saints he lived in a semi in Wakefield Road, Bitterne Park near my grandparents - how times have changed! He was a great player for Saints, livewire doesn't cover it - pace, agility, and determination, a heady mix. Also for a tiny little bloke he was dynamite in the air, and brave with it! Fond memories seeing Moran and Wallace come through the ranks, would love them both in this side now, what in modern parlance might be called impact players. Happy 50th Danny!...

My advice would be please don't sell us to an Indian Halal Chicken Processing conglomerate, and then bail out at the first sign of discord....

My money is on first one in English, short and succinct. Something along these lines:

I've worked in London for 25 years and can confirm that I've never heard this rumour, neither has my brother who lives in Southampton...

The level of reactive infantile excitement of the bell end brigade this evening has at least shown them up for what they are. Can you imagine the psychotic dedication it takes to appear the least bit convincing on here with your side fighting a relegation battle in division four. C*nts...

It's the Skate Scum legend that is Kitson, the useless ginger cabbage...

Adam Lallana pledges future to Southampton
Miltonaggro replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
In terms of career, there is certainly a golden opportunity to be the Danny Wallace of his generation!... -
Adam Lallana pledges future to Southampton
Miltonaggro replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
'If' is the important variable. If Lallana is United's top target, if they want to make a bid for player on a four year contract, if they can put together a acceptable pitch, if Cortese acknowledges their bid, if the player shows interest, followed by three big ifs - if Cortese is willing to do business at all for his star player, if United's price matches Southampton's, and if the business can be concluded in the current window. I would be surprised 'if' anything happens... -
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
Miltonaggro replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Lallana didn't cost the club anything, so there is no cost to balance. The law is on Cortese's side and he can ask what he wants, particularly mid season. If he's swotted in the same way he was by Wenger for a schoolboy in league 1, well be looking at £40m and 50k a cap, plus a Faberge love egg. Bring it on... -
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
Miltonaggro replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He won't go to Manchester United in this window as Manchester United will not be willing to pay the asking price, which is likely to be around the £40m mark. The last time Cortese sold a valued player was in the third division, and that player was a kid with no high level experience -£15 million with strangulation clauses. Lallana is the current captain of a top half Premier League side, 25 approaching peak, and a current England international. Just imagine the terms of any transfer, imagine... -
Carlos Vela linked to southampton for 20 million
Miltonaggro replied to killer fan's topic in The Saints
Luxury signing, would be impressive again, but right now we need solid cover across the back line. If we've got £20m in this window that will buy us what we need... -
Well done Adam and Alan...

The positives far outweigh the negatives. When this side is fit and clicking we can beat any team in the division. The current hangover is due to the weak squad (as many of us have been pointing out for a year), which in itself is due to our unexpectedly rapid progress over the past three seasons and necessary turnover / non-turnover of playing staff. Two decent windows should sort this, we have much to look forward too. I wonder if 2014 will be the year that the WUMs / Skate plants, finally **** off...
