  1. 'Field of Bullsh*t' would be the remake, Kevin Costner could play Paul Hart with Art Malik as the fake sheikh...
  2. The rats do seem to be leaving the Marie Celeste! LMFAO ot loud in fact! I think that 'Dr' Fakehim should generate as much media exposure as possible to keep up morale as he is a natural. Him and Fred Draineage should have their own 'thought for the day' series on Meridian Tonight where they discuss their innermost fantasies. A segment could be based on the Apprentice, where instead of saying 'you're fired' Fakehim utilises the catch-phrase ' please don't leave'. We have reached rock bottom and are coming back much, much stronger; they appear to be talking down a potential plummet that would make the fall of the Roman Empire look like a minor blip...
  3. I have a cousin who is a Leeds fan, and work with a Norwich City supporter (poor b*stard) - both work in London and travel at weekends to see home matches when able. We were talking about support and competitive pricing in what is a rather poor spectacle of a league a week ago, and I seem to remember hearing that Leeds matchday league prices were banded between £15-25 this season, whereas Norwich were £11-22 both depending on the opposition. If accurate, as a fellow sleeping giant in League 1, this does indeed make Yeovil look a tad pricey...
  4. Release the beast!...
  5. Or Captain Darling...
  6. At least Goebbels had the decency to shoot himself...
  7. Having a sense of humour is one thing, but it is genuinely disgraceful to compare Rupert Lowe to Adolf Hitler. For the vast majority of his decade as leader of the Third Reich AH (on the rebound as a failed artist) managed to unite the fractured German populace, resurrect the country to challenge in Europe, and harness the power of oratory and the media. RL (on the rebound as a sub-standard failed agent) in his decade as Chairman at SFC on the other hand, was unsuccessful in these, and many, many, many (emphasis added) other areas. Hitler also had a fanatical entourage of hopelessly camp social misfits and reactionaries who would defend his every action even after his demise; and in the face of almost universal condemnation. Hang on...
  8. PS: Posted the above on 15th August...
  9. If Cortese is sensible he will consult AP over the appointment and pick a person that Pardew knows, trusts, and is happy with. In the past Pardew has cited Keith Pea**** and Steve Coppell as his mentors, and Peter Grant and Alan Smith as a good friends in football and any one of these would be a good call as a Sporting Director to work WITH and FOR the manager...
  10. Spot on Arizona! The thing that has dragged the club down has been mismanagement at Board level over the past decade, resulting in a ridiculous turnover of both managers and players. Lack of stability has fueled lack of common purpose and responsibility amongst the Saints sides post Strachan. Pardew has done absolutely the right thing in buying a new spine to the side and adding players of character. It will take time for some of the past regime players (particularly the one club youngsters) to turn the corner, but they will. The future is bright...
  11. Nippy striker, a foil for Lambert?...
  12. Nice one Hatch, a lol moment for me there. The midfield should now be in tune! Captain Morgan and his Hammond organ...
  13. The word on the street is that Norwich are planning to unveil Jamie Oliver as Director of Football (and Flaky Pastry) on Friday with Fanny Craddock as his number two. Pukka...
  14. That would be Bishop Seamus Pardrew who is currently causing outrage in the Catholic Church by suggesting that certain saints are relegated to lay martyrdom, I assume? Anything else would be complete bollo...
  15. To sum up the man in his prime and the frustration over national recognition felt by Saints fans, I recall watching the goal that fatty Gascoigne scored against Scotland in Euro 96 and the commentator saying something like 'no other player currently in football could have scored that goal' and the whole pub erupting with cries of 'f*ck off, we see better every week'. The man was a genius and on par with Zidane at his best...
  16. That was Keith Peac*ck by the way. Unbelievable...

  21. Lambert all the way! Possibly with a rejuvinated Saga...
  22. Six foot two, eyes of blue, Ricky Lambert's after you! Great signing, proper target man, exciting watching...
  23. Looks like a poor man's Wimbledon kit from the late eighties. Which takes some doing...
  24. Interesting that JPS is not apparently on the radar, and we must assume that AP does not fancy him. This is a shame, as the guy offers height and commitment, and would be brilliant cover at centre back for this league...
  25. Josh Thompson for anything south of £500K would be a very good call indeed, Josh Thompson and a work permit for Jaidi would give us an awesome central defence. Thompson would certainly frighten the opposition, he has the appearance of a giant vampire bat! http://www.stockportcounty.com/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10419~46402,00.html
