  1. Roy Hodgson just text me and suggested Wodney Wallace...
  2. But if you don't get them to sign anything, they leave for free...
  3. The better side won, which is embarrassing when they're two divisions below. In addition to the injuries, we've now decimated our own team for Saturday with 3 silly suspensions and show no form or goalscoring possibilities. Incredible fall from grace and something we need to somehow snap out of quickly. Whether it's a loss form or something more fundamental behind the scenes, Ronnie needs to get it sorted.
  4. He lost to Van Gaal. That will hurt...
  5. Better side lost. More clinical side won. Simple. Some good performances particularly from Big Vic but too many erratic moments from others let us down at crucial moments. Hopefully more bodies available for Burnley - Toby & Morgan especially. Need to see ourselves through to January as near to the top six as possible and look to acquire some decent forward options to support Pelle & Tadic. Maybe even a return for Jay Rod. Keep the faith!
  6. Nobbled our players so when we do get a genuine injury we go down to 10 men. Gutted. Forster did well though & answered a few questions.
  7. Koeman is expecting Davis back, which is great news & will surely restore the shape which has been so successful this season so far. A win & we start to answer questions about whether we can stay top 4.
  8. He's 22/23, settling into the country & playing in a much more testing league. He's going to have the odd stinker. That said, his pace & unpredictability clearly worries defences, he's getting in positions to score & when he finds his shooting boots, he will be a tremendous asset IMO.
  9. Is Jay Rod actually nearing any sort of return. Barely mentioned by Saints in these heady days...
  10. Here's a thought. Maybe Ronnie wants to work with his own man and Mitchell was a dead man walking anyway, despite his "successes". Tadic, Pelle, Mane and Toby all seem like Koeman signings no matter how much we claim to have held long term interests.
  11. I'm sure it's posturing to enable Atletico to scare us into paying a little bit more than the fee we signed up for. Still hopeful of a permanent deal.
  12. They don't need scouts, just a season ticket to SMS...
  13. Can easily see him going on loan in January but can't see it being to us. Shame it's not working out for him but not really a surprise. Classic case of a dream move turning sour as I said on the defectors thread.
  14. Rickie's probably always dreamed of seeing his beloved Liverpool play Madrid at the Bernabeu. Unfortunately that's all he got to do tonight. Not even on the bench. Classic case of dream move turning sour. Shame. On the other hand, good to see Lallana contribute s**t all.
  15. Genius. From someone who has too much time on their hands.
  16. Utter nonsense to award this as an own goal. Can we refer this to the dubious decisions panel? Either that, or someone sent in a clip of the wrong goal when we were wanted the Bridcutt own goal re-considered!
  17. I'm happy to wait until May before we hit the summit...
  18. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. We is well good!
  19. Super stuff. Well deserved too! With Davis signing a new contract, it's been a rather good day for us Saints. Hoping the good news rolls on into tomorrow with a resounding win.
  20. My favourite XI: 1. John Burridge 2. Ivan Golac 3. Francis Benali 4. Steve Williams 5. Michael Svensson 6. Jose Fonte 7. Kevin Keegan 8. Matthew Le Tissier 9. Steve Moran 10. Barry Horne 11. Danny Wallace 12. Nathaniel Clyne 13. Ivan Katalinic 14. Russell Osman 15. Morgan Schneiderlin 16. Ronnie Ekelund 17. Marian Pahars 18. Paul Rideout
  21. And we mustn't forget his birthday: November 8th according to Wiki. Who's getting the card? No need for a present, the club will get him a watch.
  22. We would've been mental to have accepted Cardiff's offer during the summer and I'm glad we saw sense and offered him a new contract instead. A rival for Rickie, IMO, as the best signing we made during the recovery period we started in League 1.
  23. Excellent today up against a strong centre half in Caulker and a fading Rio Ferdinand. Strong, good positional sense, great touch, didn't let that miss in the first half affect him and scored a goal of the season contender. Everything I hoped Dani Osvaldo would be.
  24. W**k draw but a chance to dispose of another Premier rival, I suppose.
