Feels like a big week in the window for all the cogs to start moving. Hopefully Leeds getting paid will give us the kick up the arse we need.
-
I think there's an element of fitness in it as well surely. We saw Tino and Broja last season looking injured or otherwise hopeless in the second half of the season. You can't expect 18-21 year old kids to play twice a week all season.

It's giving monkey chicken petting zoo vibes

The lack of actual quality in our squad is worrying. Who in our team could you say right now is a solid top ten player? I would only say JWP and KWP - we've flogged the rest. Other sides are making moves / getting ready to sell their quality players so will have big money to spend. I wonder if they'll be looking at the bargain bin of 18-22 year olds - I think not.

Surely all the potential benefits go down the tubes if we get relegated like all these other shite European teams we're buying. Time to focus on number one
-
Fair enough. Personally I think around £10m was a lot to pay at the time for someone who would be stuck behind a right-back but for Livramento's injury.

On their respective best days: 1. Forster 2. Boruc 3. McCarthy 4. Stekelenburg 5. Davis 6. Gunn =7. Gazzaniga and Caballero

Has Perraud been a "very good signing"? 🤨

I'd be testing Villa's patience with a move for Buendia

He'd be an upgrade on our best 10 in Stuart Armstrong but having them both in the same side would be like pulling teeth. Don't think he's the best suited player to Ralph's 4-2-2-2 tbh. Obviously in an ideal world he finally finds a plan B but I can't see that happening. Can see him rotting on the bench at Tottenham or Man U for his final years.

Looks like more bargain bin bollocks to me, Kevin Danso 2.0

Think a loan would be a real masterstroke, protects us against a potential serious injury and gets us a 10-goal striker stopgap. £5m loan fee might prick up a few ears.
-
Terrible source but it's definitely worth trying to pull their pants down on a season-long loan, or at the very most matching his current contract.

Absolutely fucking ridiculous

Bialkowski vs Blackpool, Lemina in the FA Cup vs Chelsea both stick in the mind. McCarthy vs Norwich last season should have been his swansong in the at least the top two divisions of professional football, but here we are 😅
-
His goal against Chelsea was a bit of quality you would likely only have seen from Ingsy as well at the time. I wouldn't be entirely against it but it would be underwhelming if he was first choice. Loan to buy - £2m with an £8m obligation, spreads the fee nicely.
-
He is just way too slow and weak, for me - and I think he knows it. Always seems to be turning back when at least with Redmond you'd see him trying to get down the line or come inside at least 50% of the time.

No holds barred

You'd suggest game over if we're racing those clubs, but it's a link nonetheless...

He's a professional gimp

The pepper spray and nightstick treatment is starting to make sense

1) Ok mate, apologies - have you got the MLG approved list for future reference? It is better than Premier League 2 though, correct? 2) Fair enough, 11 league goals then - I'm sure you take my point. 3) One year on his contract, seems to be the point where we let players go if there's any interest elsewhere.
-
Yeah it seems unlikely, but I think it's time for SR to put up or accept that we will be one of the sides circling the drain. Che Adams, while a good player, being the main goalscorer for a Premier League side is a recipe for disaster.
-
1) Broja had experience in a top European league and as a senior international - and still only managed six league goals and to look bothered / keep up intensity for half of the season. Livramento clearly struggled with fitness after exploding onto the scene. 2) I should have clarified 15 goals across all comps, around 11 goals in the PL would be fine - the same amount as Teemu Pukki managed. As long as we're willing to spend in the £30m bracket, they shouldn't be too hard to find. 3) Because our midfield is lightweight and too passive a lot of the time (especially without Romeu), and Romeu will likely be off this summer.
-
15 across all competitions sounds about right to me considering the limitations of Che - who I think is the perfect second striker. Pukki, for example, got 11. Toney got 12. Emmanuel Dennis would be at the top of my list, but shouldn't be too hard to find someone in a similar bracket if we spend about £30m.
