I see it as English football culture to copy other peoples chants (along with being original as well). The only problem I have is the lyrics are constantly sh*t and embarrassing to hear. Quick point - when was the last time saints had a popular chant which was original, popular meaning one picked up by most the crowd? Tik Tok and people who do not realise what they are singing is making it worse. These people only hear pompey chants so they see it as acceptable to sing about pompey for 90 mins. Hilarious that even at home when winning 90th minute some of our fans sing Fathers gun and Wings of sparrow arse of a crow. This isnt a joke, this actually happened this season. If we need to adopt basic stars and stripes style chants on players i'd take it over this crap. Or any old chants (70s, 80s, 90s) - about the club and city- to sing over these people if neccessary. They sing pompey rubbish over saints songs so why not do the same to them?

It was 7.69 seconds actually. HTH.

Suprised Palace paid 15 million, 20 with add ons and he's still yet to play for them.

Time is the healer of all wounds. So much so that sometimes I find myself feeling bad for Nathan Jones and say he was hard done by. Then videos like this pop up and I remember my sanity.

Wednesday night under the lights. Perfect time for atmosphere. Songs only about Southampton rule hopefully being put in place. Giving people like Westwood attention is just what he wants; look at him. Knock Knock and give me an eeesss hopefully… maybe back in southampton and whatever other ones as well.

Only been away to Sheffield Wednesday this season, but I know a few people who have been mentioning this and how noddy it is, with special references they make to "weird" people who make up a lot of individual groups you'd see supporting us today. You now find 3 tiers fans on matchday 1. Those who were there before 2. Those who are there for the match and only the match (Sammy Saints Enthusiasts, non botherers, neutrals) 3. The not here before / where have they come from? section - One of my mates specifically said lots of the "hardcore and normal fans have stopped going" in place of "either complete tools on tiktok dressing up like the firm or noddies who live in la la land, or act like extras off green street". I guess this is the football in a library brigade. Sadly it's a problem at home as well. If you start something about the city/team you'll get about 5 people joining in. Then someone, who wasn't joining in with the chants before would start some bollox song about Pompey and most of the stand will join in. This is in the once great, not so any more Itchen North. And people said going down would improve our support. I never went away that much but I went to away games such as Leicester in 2020 (?) after the 9-0 when we brought low numbers and the support was much more impressive with less idiotic songs.

Realistically they should be relegated. They’ve been absolute sh*t for years now, and that’s with cheating. They’ll say it’s unfair on the fans who have had no fault in this matter, but what about the fans of the clubs who have already been relegated (who hadn’t cheated). Plus their fans are tw@ s. Nothing against Everton, but Everton are awful and I have everything against them. Hate them.

Huddersfield 1-1 Saints - Match Thread

As long as our fans don't act like northern d1ckheads - taking their shirts off in the middle of winter for no real reason - we'll be alright. -
I never watch England games unless it's a major tournament. But I have no issues with no football for a week or two.

Best season for taking a 10 point deduction. The other teams are terrible - Everton aren’t even 20th. It should have been given last season, and then giving compensation and a return for the last placed team in the league (most disadvantaged). The only fair way.

So anti-capitalist action are now organising a march on the 11th for both Palestine and against the supposed far right in the UK (You know, the people who respect our countries fallen soldiers on armistice day). Everything is far right these days.

Don’t see why anyone would go excessively out of his way to give him stick as in the reaction to this. He wasn’t very good but the narrative around him is/was very over the top. Didn’t get support from day one. I wish him well, just not against us. Hopefully we keep our momentum Miiiiiiii llwall 0-2 Saints

I don’t support killing innocents. But why is it that the Palestinians voted in Hamas whose own convention was to wipe out Israel? Before the War why were they still polling at 62% support? Why did 77% of them support the attack on the 7th? Why are there people in this country saying the attack was justified but we are supposed to support the idea the people who voted in the terrorists didn’t want what they voted for. They voted for an organisation which gets their water supply neglected in the chance of more bombs and underground supplies for Hamas only. They vote for some of the richest people in the world to not spend any on themselves just more weapons. No wonder the IDF go in there to get Hamas before and after this war, but yet they’ll still play the victim… They should have been demanding Hamas to give back all hostages and end the war not celebrating.

Colin Calderwood joins as first team coach

I take it he means Northampton -
Although this Russia news is a different country, this is the benchmark of what happens when you allow a chance for antisemitic scumbags to go on their disguised “pro Palestine” marches. A good quarter of the people that have gone on these matches in the UK just hate jews and would vote for a Nazi esque extermination policy if given the chance. It’s simply the truth. Only innocent people like Owen Jones will try to excuse it without realising people like himself with good intentions are the shields much like Hamas uses their innocent as shields. Give gays such as himself a chance to meet who he’s supporting and they’ll give him an Aladdin ride off a tall building.

I don't miss VAR, but the championship is sh*t in my opinion and to get back to the prem would be nice.

He must just be a bit happy clappy. I was listening to his interview after the game and he stated he was sad for Che coming off injured as he had played so well in the first half. He must simply be comforting his players as every week he claims a 2/10 performance is world class.
