  1. TBF, I'd think this thread is a bit tongue-in-cheek, not for the Lazio Ultras, but this little debate. TBF, TBF, they're only talking about banning them from the Ultras area of the stadium, can't say I blame them for that, I'd like to stand in an area of St Mary's with like-minded people only. I'd ban gimps, 'wacky' hat-wearers and tone-deaf singers too...and probably gingers as well
  2. Just looked on the OS and only showing S1B as available with about 80 seats remaining in that block. Guess the other 2 are now sold out and S1E/F only go on sale once those 80 are sold.
  3. They only had 14,000 for their "fierce" local Derby with Palace in the FA Cup earlier this year, so it will likely be far less for this stage of the League Cup.
  4. I remember reading this on their forum last year, the warning signs were there, struggled in a back 3 (struggles in a 2 as well!) - but this bit is baffling "great in the air"
  5. With the usual type of audience present it will be like a tea party. Ralph 'Waffle/5 Pledges' Krueger and Les will experience more grief picking what colour socks to wear that morning.
  6. ahem...... https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/and-europes-model-club-southampton
  7. Meanwhile just 2 years before.............. "They aren't a top-six club. Not yet. But neither are they a bubble waiting to pop" http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10584908/the-southampton-way-a-blueprint-for-others-to-follow-says-niall-quinn .....oops! and https://eplindex.com/69759/southampton-fc-blueprint-clubs-following.html ......eek! or https://eplindex.com/69759/southampton-fc-blueprint-clubs-following.html .....ouch!
  8. Always felt Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' is made for the occasion, good intro to build anticipation while the team are waiting in the tunnel and then an explosion of sound as they emerge onto the pitch. Then stop all music and let the pumped-up crowd take over. Although that would probably amount to a bit of polite clapping in most parts of the ground!
  9. Nice one - that FreeSports channel has popped up on Virgin recently showing a lot of pre-season tournament friendlies involving England's/Europe's big guns.....and now, Saints U23s!
  10. Or.....if we hadn't undeservedly lost in injury time at Arsenal, or conceded a controversial 97th minute Everton equaliser at Goodison, or a 94th minute Man city winner at St Mary's, as well as a poor 8 minute spell where we threw away a 2 goal lead against Chelsea then you could say Hughesy was unlucky. He came in to do a job and keep us up, turn round a disjointed team and bar a few brief moments of madness his record would have had a fairer reflection of what he'd achieved.
  11. I think 'Charlie Wayman' just reflects a sizeable chunk of our support, too polite, boring and probably barely makes a squeak inside the stadium (unless he's like 75%ish of the posters on here and never actually goes to a game). Anyways, aint he an Arsenal fan?
  12. They should have kept hold of that McCarthy fella
  13. Isn't there an option for no commentary as well, just the noise of the crowd?
  14. That night in 1990 still hurts, it's time to put it right. Don't let us down.
  15. Split loyalties for Nathan Redmo...I mean Thierry Henry in the semis now. England up next, don't let us down.
  16. Come on, Diego's getting a rough ride here, it's not like he was ever banned from football for drug abuse, or cheated to win a football match (that really was divine intervention) and his nation's alleged dirty, cheating antics in 1966 were just all made up. He's just misunderstood. #prayforElPibedeOro
  17. Agree, everyone gets a clean slate now under Hughes. He looks more effective in this role, if he comes good let's hope he forgets about the pr*cks that gave him grief most weeks.
  18. I think this is why most of us are enjoying it. Expectation was so low, not just with England but the whole farce of giving it to Russia in the first place. Ignoring the rights and wrongs of awarding it to them and also Qatar, the organisation, stadiums, massive South American support and, most of all, the football has put the spark back into football for a lot of us. And 2 mostly sh*te years watching SFC are fading by the day.
  19. That was as sweet as the panel at halftime giving Neymar and others grief for the play-acting and diving with Klinsmann sat alongside 'ave it again!
  20. 'ave it.
  21. Was around in '66 but too young to remember much about it (around in '62 but remember even less!), for me, because of age and I was just so in love with football the most enjoyable World Cups would be 1970, '74, '78. Enjoyed WC every time since but less and less so since '98. Russia so far, amazingly after expectations, has rekindled my love for it.
  22. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/16/celtic-should-scupper-premier-league-hopes-for-basel-attacker-mo/page/1/ This report from a year ago suggesting our interest and expected to cost more than Celtic's £2m January bid.
  23. .....most deluded, most fingers, most cousins......
  24. 'Enola Gay' apparantly, fooked if I could make that out!
  25. He's a Chelsea fan with skate sympathies having been based their working on a local radio station and covering their matches for a number of years. He's still a **** tho'.
