Well that's a strange comment and two bad examples as loads missed out on tickets for these games like many other matches in League One. Brentford away in League One springs to mind when they only gave us 1200 and demand was massive. There was talk of us trying to get the stand down the side as it was likely to be sparsely populated by home fans but the Met put the mockers on it. Just a shame that our first game in Europe for over a decade is in a stadium with such a small away section...especially as it's a close, cheap trip.

It's not the main stand that's opposite where the players come out, exec boxes/VIP seats. They're all single tiered stands but upper and lower sections, if you are right about them reserving blocks 223 and 224 then they are upper section seats, Saints fans on here have been buying up lower in neighbouring blocks. Segregating nightmare. Good find, let's hope we show the Dutch equal respect.

I hope the club at least asked for an extra allocation and that we now give them just 5% in return. It does seem short-sightd of Vitesse if they are expecting an attendance well short of capacity, there's now the prospect of Saints fans buying (before or from over-priced touts in Arnhem) home tickets and the potential that brings. Let's hope it's easy to find bars that'll be showing the game over there.

But...if "you don't know nothing", you know something

I think I've read somewhere before that it would max out at around 25,000 to always leave a number of tickets available for members/casual fans. But I don't know where you get "6500" for away fans, the most we ever give is just over 3k (and only up to 5k for cup games).

I think it was between 22-23,000 and can't see it getting much above that while it remains so easy to watch for free at home/down the pub. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150714-season-ticket-availability-now-limited-2545466.aspx Over 20k now but probably unlikely to go much higher, maybe an increase with half-STs in December.

Can I have your ticket.....?

Milan and 'onest 'arry are coming back? And the JCB?

He must be joking with all this wrist-slashing stuff surely? Nobody could be that demented...oh hang on...all those drama queens last summer must be coming out of the shadows.

For a decade or so, once held nearer 70k and there's plans to get it back to that again.

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
alehouseboys replied to The9's topic in The Saints
You're in luck then. It definitely won't be adidas next year. The 9 should be starting the 'Long Overdue Pointless Kit Thread 2016/17' so we can all speculate who it will be... -
But...he is right. It never happened because of politics. 3 bodies owned different parts of the required land, Southampton City Council (Labour), Eastleigh Council (Libs) and HCC (Tory) were never going to agree. As much I was for it at the time as there was no alternative, thankfully it didn't and we ended up with a city centre stadium. And that's how I'd prefer it to stay.

You obviously don't remember Charleroi from Euro 2000... That stand is no longer around but at the time must have been the steepest ever constructed...and no doubt pulled down for failing modern day safety standards!

That was also on the walls of the underpass between Central Hall and the East Street Centre along with many more. Of course that included ' Hari and Al' that popped up everywhere. Throughout the 70s (something like) 'Beware Southampton Killer Chaps' adorned the walls of the train tunnel under 6 Dials to welcome visitors arriving by rail. And there was the Le Tiss for England one in Canute Road, did it have a pop at Venables?

Brother from another mother/sister...

Looks OK in the photo but as you've seen it up close and saying 'fluorescent', then maybe you're right.

Smart. Just like we knew it would be. Not a shirt wearer myself, but will be popular IMO. And for the fashion concious, goes a bit better with denim than red and white stripes!

..and maybe Pochettino to replace Brendan?
