The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread
alehouseboys replied to The9's topic in The Saints
All about opinion, I quite like that idea of an away kit. Some like stripes, some don't. It's just another way to fleece fans for an overpriced piece of uncomfortable material - but, at least, if you don't like it they'll be another expensive one along next year to replace it. -

Good, our fans could actually learn something off these Americans then. -

What? No European shirt If the home shorts were the same colour as the away, we'd have a winner. Oh, and white socks... -
I would. I'd love it if today's grounds sounded like those of the 70s, noisy and edgy, but they're not, things have changed. If we made constant noise like them I'd prefer that to the limited 'support' we now get from a couple of corners while the rest of the stadium is sat comatosed. There ain't many of them but they make a racket. Palace probably, only bought 1800 for the short trip.

Too many capital letters but good shout. Atmosphere.

Head case http://www.football-italia.net/62934/zanetti-osvaldo-attacked-mancini Let's hope he's a superstar for them and we can get rid http://www.buenosairesherald.com/article/182520/osvaldo-starts-on-the-bench

....and it's just another p*rtsMYTH, did she also mention that nasty "docks strike"?

Well let's just hope all the drama queens hold their nerve a bit longer this summer when we inevitably lose 2 or 3 to bigger clubs. I won't hold my breath. I'm in the Ralph fan club and credit to Kat for the vision. Like everything, it won't last forever, enjoy it while we can.

Wouldn't it be a chuckle if that popped up on the big screens 10 mins before kick off on Sunday...

That's a very wrong shade of blue, this is more Saints 'traditional' blue Dark blue shorts would also look good with the 'Rank Xerox' shirt but gets my vote either way. -
You're right. As much as some of us would prefer St Mary's to resemble a bearpit, they'll be a bit of angst from the Northam, Kingsland and Itchen North while the rest of the stadium do their usual passive thing. Hopefully some of us keep the noise levels up, I'll be focusing on the team rather than their players tho.

Uh ho, bad news for the skates, they struggled to sell their tickets the last time they were in a cup final. Lucky for them it's 'kids for a quid' next week so the boos will be a little higher pitched than usual.

But I think it's Jack's decision not to be a 'squad' player, it's his choice to move. Good performer for us but, understandably, he wants regular first team football which obviously won't happen here.

Friday the 13th. What could go wrong?

It didn't need explaining. Have a day off.

Chester visit Saints to discuss 'The Southampton Way'
alehouseboys replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yep, thought the same reading that, guess it maybe a typo and they meant south coast? But then again, what would you expect from a bunch of Welsh bumpkins -
Nobody needed an excuse, we pulled in something like 27k the game after he left.

Sure it was skate that was knifed down there in 87...84 was a top day all round. Happy days.

...and Fred Dinenage hair do?

If you're coming in from the east then best to avoid 'Northam' Bridge altogether. Park in Woolston and walk over the Itchen Bridge. Another warning for today, watch out, there's "hundreds in the home ends" http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=150554&page=10 Poor lad, seems to be suffering with p*rtsmythitis.

'LL' is about 3 rows from the back. You'll be bunged in Yates' (if you're not careful) as it's the designated away fans pub, they'll even stick red & blue balloons up for you. If you slip away, the OB have a high presence around there, you'll find a few others that will be mixed but generally OK in that area.

You're below the Saints fans. When we've been before we've had both the upper and lower tiers but this season QPR are only allocating the top section to away fans. It's a tiny ground and they may well be other Saints fans snapping up tickets in that area but in many stadiums away fans making themselves known in home sections are often thrown out.
