  1. With Arsenal being the biggest supported club on portsea island, the locals must be rejoicing.
  2. It's made the Express... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/582458/Southampton-fans-Arsenal-Twitter-post-Schneiderlin-Wanyama-futures
  3. Then accept my apologies.
  4. Dunno why, imo, we would want to represent the New Forest or even the Solent with the kit as this football club represents our city - more likely to represent the city parks and Southampton Water if that were the case.
  5. Tbf, you were stating it was "100% NOT going to be adidas" when some of us already knew it was 100% going to be adidas, so...and was it you who was equally sure it wasn't going to be Veho too?
  6. #lightacandleforliverpool
  7. Yeah, villa fans...and they had a tenner off and free coach travel! Money well spent as far as I'm concerned
  8. Stick those shorts and socks with it and we'd have ourselves a nice unfussy kit.
  9. And they couldn't sell all their tickets. Chuckle.
  10. Going by your 'location', I take it that you quite liked it really. The club done good.
  11. Ah...http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-winger-Marc-Albrighton-says/story-26442347-detail/story.html On recent away performances this will be another tough one...to put it mildly. Roll on the summer.
  12. 6-700 on the Bingo buses then, probably about that many again will make their own way.
  13. Not a great place to go for us but 3 points would be damn handy today with the scousers home to QPR. Spurs home tomorrow too, albeit Man City. Think a Leicester win today maybe good for next weekend, hopefully a bit of apathy may set in thinking they're safe... Anyone know how many coaches the club put on today, would guess we'll take around 1,200 or so?
  14. Nah, their 'hardcore' (there go my sides) was the 5 or 6k that used to turn up before they started spending money they didn't have to get them into the top flight. Even their recent memories appear to be failing as they conveniently forget that they couldn't fill 21k regularly in the Premier League when things were going well!
  15. Well, I'm afraid you're wrong. Fans outside and coming through the turnstiles into the concourse are mostly still unaware until they walk out pitchside or into the seats. That "pre-match anticipatory buzz" is still going on with the 'unaware' and when you've got deftly quiet inside that anticipatory buzz outside just comes through. People quickly quieten down once they realise.
  16. The club could do with putting speakers outside the turnstiles to relay information like this, the queues outside were large right on kick-off and many were entering the stadium totally unaware of the minute's silence. Traffic was particular bad getting into the city on Saturday, probably due to the early start mixing with shoppers driving in at that time of day.
  17. To add to your misery, Villa are giving free coach travel to their fans for this trip too. This should guarantee a full allocation of aways meaning less tickets available for home fans. Calls for a boycott are not (and never were) gonna happen. To be honest, you're beginning to sound like a sh*t-stirring skate (on here and as RogerDay on UI), apologies if not , if you are, f*ck off
  18. Isn't it about now that the portsea island toy saleman comes on and informs us of the imminent arrival of the Maradona/Riquelme dream-team?
  19. Probably, wonder how much Chelsea want him?
  20. Nice if there's any truth in this... http://www.squawka.com/news/man-united-gearing-up-a-e37million-transfer-for-nathaniel-clyne/352211 A lot of Euros for a player with just a year left on his contract.
  21. They want a 40,000 stadium As rallyboy mentions, 5,000 cheap empty seats now, they couldn't fill little old fratton's 21,500 capacity regularly back in the heady days of the Premier League and (cheating) cup finals and now they want 40,000  Is this for when they're qualifying for Champions League football?
  22. Live on ITV4 now.
  23. If it was compiled over the last 15 years we'd be in the top dozen for crowds.
  24. Ahem...Wembley twice in 76 Cup Final and Charity Shield, 79 League Cup Final, 91ish ZDS Final, 2010 JPT...that's 5...plus Cardiff 2003. 'bout time we went back.
  25. A few pages back...just a 'what it could look like'
