  1. You must have been very unlucky the 2 times you went... They look like they're enjoying themselves? And the only reason the Itchen North got those letters and not the Northam 'erberts is the club are more concerned with upsetting the corporates. Even if they are a bunch of lairy aways.
  2. That's a very good point, FA Cup could potentially be another long trip on the road and 'if' we make the semis next week and get an away leg first, it will definitely be 'oop north', the closest possible would be Stoke.
  3. That's all they seem to do these days, like the players, the 'supporters' need to up our game. We'll need àll the encouragement we can get Saturday!
  4. It is good news...but Norwich were charging Saints fans £45, that's crazy.
  5. It was terrible but no worse than Villa in the cup recently. It's definitely going down hill fast these days. A factor for our poor second half performances at home this season could have a lot to do with attacking the Chapel second half with just about no 'support', it's amazing how so many people can remain so quiet. It has to have an effect. But other than the first 10 minutes or so of the second half 'shooting' towards the Northam today, it was little different. We must have one the least intimidating stadiums around.
  6. I've just watched Arsene Wenger on BBC News looking slightly bemused it's gonna happen. He said a 'nice gesture' with a smirk but mentioned fans maybe won't get it and smirked again at the thought of God Save the Queen being played in France!
  7. We've certainly got some hysterical tarts on here but it looks to me most on this thread are just suggesting it's not needed. No malice, no disgust, just not necessary. Everyone should just accept it's gonna happen, show respect and it may have been an idea to encourage applause while the anthem is played. Our fans are better at politely clapping than singing anyway.
  8. You're probably right and also once you get used to watching most games for free at home or down the pub then it wouldn't really matter what you're charging for a ticket. Cheaper tickets every week should eventually entice back many of the lost numbers.
  9. I'm of a similar age to 'Jimmy', he's been there just about the whole time I've been going, home and way. And those early days of SISA were memorable. I'd have thought they'll be a big turnout for the funeral, if the family wishes. Sad news - RIP
  10. Faarkin'ell...and there was me thinking this thread was serious business :shockedthingymajig:
  11. ...and if those dirty cheating skates had paid their massive multi-multi-million£ tax bill then they may not have been responsible for the closure of tax offices around the country and making so many people redundant in their own town. Been a while since they smashed the place up.
  12. Unfortunately, as it looks like there's been a realitively low take-up by season ticket holders taking their seats, again, it don't bode well. That was up there with the worst ever St Mary's atmospheres last time. Hopefully, I'm wrong and it's more reminiscent of the JPT semi, with same result.
  13. Then I'm amazed already. At just £18 a ticket for a quarter final against Liverpool, and baring in mind we sold out the previous round against a lesser side, then I'd have expected tickets to fly once on sale to the 10,000 members. Thought members may have had more than 3 days to buy but I'd expect it will still sell out, despite live on Sky. And good news for whelk and his buds anyway.
  14. It worked. Bring back safe standing for the entire stadium, problem solved.
  15. Tricky one, I'd be amazed if this makes General Sale. If I was a member in this situation I'd secure my ticket first and then grab more tickets if they reached General. He'd have little problem shifting his original in this case, they'll be all sorts of begging nearer the game.
  16. So, they've designed and named their iconic tower after a Southampton invention, they share our 023 area dialling code and now they've adopted a Southampton post mark. Historically it was just a small town in Southamptonshire, I'd say they secretly want to be us.
  17. He just fogot to "for the fourth division" after the "big club" bit and obviously the chuckling doesn't come across in the written word. And the skate boss was just on South Today stating how he hopes to get to round 2 tomorrow so they get the chance to be a "David" if they get a giant in the next round. That's more like it.
  18. Can't see what the fuss is? Despite over 10,000 members on top of 23,000ish Season Ticket holders, there's normally only around around 6,000 tickets up for grabs for home games, yet if it does sell out, it's usually at the last minute this season. Not exactly a clamour for tickets which suggests the club have it about right. We had 26,000 (restricted) ST and members when we were at the Dell with a 15k capacity.
  19. [video=youtube;LDgLyFNb-DE] Oops again.
  20. Boooooooooooooooooo!!!!
  21. When they start chanting "scummers, scummers" tomorrow, we should just point at them and laugh.
  22. But that just gives the little ol' Div 4 mob more recognition. We should go all Millwall on 'em "You don't like us, You don't like us, You don't like us, We don't care We quite like you, We quite like you, We quite like you, We don't care"
  23. That's got to be it as there's nothing on the OS stating Block 42 ST holders can't buy their seats on Tuesday, so that would rule out a bigger away allocation. Think someone mentioned the other day that you only have to offer 10% to visitors in the League Cup.
  24. They did but he struggled to make the first 11, didn't start more than a dozen games. I've read on their forums last season that they weren't particularly impressed. I'm not a Ramirez basher, I think he'll be great again once he gets back to the slower Italian league, he's just taken too long (and too costly) to adjust to the rigours of the Premier.
  25. Who are the muppets? Southampton FC for barely playing him and shipping him out on loan? Hull who sent him back after under performing? Fans are just disappointed that he's never really looked a £15m/65k a week footballer If he suddenly turns into a worldbeater, great for us in the short term but I'll be even more disappointed he couldn't do it sooner. January shop-window opportunity springs to mind.
