  1. Oh FFS...he'll p*ss off to spurs within the year and Dalek will bang on for the next decade about great he was...
  2. Just being seen to be linked with the calibre of manager like Pellegrini makes a statement, could also be a convenient red herring to get someone else in under the radar. He does seem a bit of an older candidate for how the club appear to be progressing, but would still be a coup to get him. But my money remains on someone else getting the job.
  3. Well, he'll be near-on 70 by the end our our new 5 year plan, I won't be that far behind, I hope he'll be more enthusiastic about his job than I'm likely to be at that age.
  4. If we had been linked with Pellegrini before he went to Man City we'd have been creaming ourselves. Not necessarily my first choice but would still be amazed if he bowled up at my club.
  5. I'm kinda with you, I've enjoyed Koeman's time here but I can also understand a few being a bit miffed at some of RK's recent statements that are in print about 'loyalty', 'honesty', etc. I won't wish him well at Everton but I won't boo him either, I prefer to just ignore the 'traitors'
  6. But not beyond the activities of the 657 in the past. Whatever his previous, this will no doubt be life-changing and I'm sure most would wish him well.
  7. Probably only 3 weeks or so until the 4th division fixtures come out, the excitement/reality must be growing by the day.
  8. ...and the use of the old PL logo on the sleeves. Sloppy.
  9. Looks like those ones have been knocked up in some back street in China, shirts basically look the same style but guess the sponsor logo would be at the same level on the real thing
  10. I wouldn't think the home shirt is too far off, can't see UA going for anything but stripes for the initial shirt, but if the new rule is for a blank panel on the back of shirts then that must apply to aways aswell? Could be close with the sponsor too!
  11. I would imagine that to be the case just before the renewal deadline every season, I'm a bit surprised it's not higher as most people want to keep hold of their money for as long as possible. By quarter to midnight on Tuesday, I'd suggest it will be a lot nearer 100% take-up.
  12. The acoustics, they're sh*te. Might improve the PA in the process. Other than that, safe standing. And I don't know why some bang on about another tier over the Northam thinking it would improve the atmosphere for home fans there, I think it would probably kill it. Saints 'singers' would just split themselves over the upper and lower and end up singing different songs and lessen the effect. If another tier goes anywhere it has to go over the Kingsland, longer, allowing more seats on capacity.
  13. ...or, given who we'd just beaten, it may have been a little poke at Pochettino who obviously wasn't proud to be here and quickly fooked off after a little wobble to the 'plan'. We're going to struggle to keep hold of him for too much longer, accepted, but what an impact he's had on this club.
  14. Uncle D-ick Blocks "d-ick" but allows "cock"
  15. I like... "Chim-Chim-i-ney, Chim-Chim-i-ney, Chim-Chim-Cheroo, We've got Van Dyke And he's coming for you" Simple, effective and also sung by his Uncle **** in 1964.
  16. Someone is offering an adult ticket for £25 on the 'Away Supporters' forum, doesn't say whether upper or lower http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56352-Spare-Villa-ticket#.VxUnORLTVJ8 but may be worth a look as it's cheap. If it is lower your mate would probably be able to sell on his other ticket with little effort.
  17. Seems to be a badly kept secret that part of pre-seaon will be a US tour but, I'd imagine, making the Europa qualifying stage would throw a bit of a spanner in the wotsnames.
  18. So in the 3 year period Le Tiss made his England appearances, and while playing in the top flight in front of "tiny crowds" he could have been turning out for plucky little p*mpey at the fr*tton cauldron. Hang on, over those 3 years their average home attendance was (I'm sure it must be a mistake) 8,200, 9,400 and 8,800. Massive
  19. Sounded like it was just the Northam joining in with the Geordie's gallows humour, they were singing "we've had a shot", and as they quickly followed it up with only their second shot of the game I guess it was a bit inevitable. Little more than a training session for us but the atmosphere was, once again, sh*te though.
  20. Weather dry, conditions good in the midlands...for a change. http://twohundredpercent.net/leicester-city-southampton-1983/
  21. Conte Chelsea bound, Ranieri shortlisted to take over the national side, all together now... Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be, He's going to Italy, Rani-eri Hats off to them, but no good wishes tomorrow.
  22. Nope, clearly states home fans only and they have to be in the ground before 1pm. Not very friendly, decent beer too. Only fair to take all the points back to Southampton.
  23. You're right, not the best comparison in the circumstances, maybe just highlights what some will now pay to watch PL football, with several other 'cheapest' adult STs in the £300-£450 range.
  24. ...or use those f'kin annoying clappy things...
