  1. This is all utter rubbish. Last time I checked Cortese was in charge when we wore stripes in the Championship and...oh wait...we also had a yellow away kit....if he 'hated' it then why allow it in one of the seasons when he had control of the kits? As for Potch subbing Adam over other players so that he doesn't upset them...clearly this is absolutely nonsensical and I sincerely hope that people have more faith in our manager than to believe this rubbish.
  2. Dreadful performance. Hopefully a one off.
  3. Gaston has been awful.
  4. Weird subs from Potch.
  5. Agree, I think it a bit of a shame that our promotion winning captain wasn't given a minute of Premier League football with us...still we have moved on to bigger and better things. Good luck Dean, a true pro who deserves it.
  6. I'll take an iPhone 4S case - PM me let me know how to pay.
  7. The press think Osvaldo doesn't know yet - no direct quotes from him. It could be more advanced than the press are reporting. VMAN doesn't get much wrong so I'm inclined to believe that it's going to happen.
  8. Got back from Birmingham around an hour ago. Absolutely buzzing about this performance and now so excited for the rest of the season. Key Highlights Just how good is Lovren? I thought he was absolutely outstanding and a huge upgrade to our defence. A real coup to get him judging on that performance. Wanyama - so good that I didn't really notice Morgan was playing (which is a huge compliment given just how good he was last season). Absolutely made up that Rickie scored again today - must literally be the best week of his life? What an absolute SFC legend. Delighted that we had 3 18 year olds in the starting XI - Shaw is just superb, Chambers very solid and JWP was a big big improvement on last season. The future looks bright...
  9. Call it a hunch but I reckon we will get him. If we do we are in for a belter if a season
  10. Tickets for Rickie's England debut have been purchased. Good luck SRL!
  11. On what basis are you making that judgment?
  12. You must have been watching a different game to me. We outplayed a very very decent outfit away from home. Encouraging stuff.
  13. My mate is an ST holder at Everton and reckons Jelavic is one of the worst strikers they've had in recent years. Yes, he's scored a few but massively went off the boil last season and by the end was missing complete sitters. He reckons he was grossly overpriced at 7 million. He's not great and it serves as a reminder that supposed goal machines in the SPL command hugely over inflated fees but when it all comes down to it they are actually pretty darn average. Not so lazy.
  14. 1) Hooper isn't anything to be too excited about - anyone can score goals in Scotland. There's a reason he almost signed for a Championship team. 2) Norwich have not yet signed Quagliarella. If they do, then I will be impressed as he is a good player. 3) Van Wolfswinkel sounds a good player, but is anyone who says he will be a world beater basing that on anything other than the fact he usually signs for Chelsea and bangs in a few on Football Manager? I'm sure that we had similar threads on here from posters like BS when QPR and Reading signed some players people had heard of/thought were good. That turned out great didn't it? They were probably perceived as 'going for it' last summer. I'm sure our scouts were aware of the availability of players like Hooper and Van Wolfswinkel and that we chose not to sign them as we had other players in mind. I will reserve my judgement until the end of the season.
  15. What a load of tosh. No one said anything about being entitled, the guys father couldn't go at all had the decision not been reversed.
  16. How have you come to that conclusion? Literally nothing in the article remotely suggests that.
  17. Doesn't sound like the Liebherrs want to pull out then does it? Love how everyone jumped to that conclusion. This will get sorted I'm sure, Markus trusted NC completely and the family must know this. Probably just contractual posturing. Lets just relax for now. If he goes we will get someone else but I don't think he will.
  18. Reading dross like this makes me wonder if I actually watch the same game as other Saints fans. Typical overreaction response. We dominated Sunderland, if Rickie's shot had gone in at the end but everything else had panned out in exactly the same way I guarantee you would not have written this.
  19. Because we have stayed in the Premier League. Not bizarre at all. Your constant moaning at an amazing achievement given how we started is bizarre.
  20. Unbelievable that some on here are so negative but hardly surprising given the form of most posters on here. I was at the game, saints fans were absolutely brilliant, full voice for the full 90. Sunderland were crap in all departments and their fans embarrassingly bad. A hard earned point which sees us safe (should have won mind). Great subs from MP. Prem next year and people still complain?
  21. He called Villa their "champions league final" and they lost 6-1, he looked for a reaction against a dire Stoke and they only mustered a draw so he can't be that great. I'm nervous, but only because we may not play as we can. If we do we will have too much for them regardless of what Di Canio says to them.
  22. I'm going to this. Huge game.
  23. Except Norwich...
  24. You realise that what you have said makes literally no sense... It was 100-1 because it was statistically very unlikely we'd go down but there has been a run of particularly unlikely results meaning that its now more likely hence the shortening of the odds. 20-1 compared to the odds of the other teams are still long odds... At the time people were crowing it was very unlikely we would go down and despite an unlikely string of results it still is...
