and lest we forget, Robbie Keane, international and proven Premiership goalscorer, is waiting to see if his move to LA Galaxy goes ahead for a 'mere' £3.5 million.....why aren't we throwing our hat in the ring there instead????

I feel he's the right kind of manager for us, and given the ups and downs we've had over the last 5 years, it's good to have our club back as one we can be proud of that goes about things the right way.....for years, we were a lot of people's 'second' team, or at least one which other fans admired for the right reasons, stability, family atmosphere, passionate but respectful.....it was a huge backwards step when we lost our way and our sense of direction in the Lowe years.....yes, it's far too early to be talking about promotion but results speak for themselves, there's a great feeling around the club and we're all on here generally being positive about our club so I think it's as good as it can be at the moment....

and Cortese has actually restored some much needed integrity and self-respect back to our club, which was utterly beyond RL

yep, it's highly debatable whether Lescott was worth £26 million but he, at least, was a proven Premiership standard player and full international when he went for stupid money......AOC is neither and £12 million for a benchwarmer is a risk for Arsenal and very shrewd business by us......

Southampton born and bred but live in Lancashire, just got back from camping in Cornwall, bloke stops me as I'm leaving the pub as he'd spotted my Saints shorts and chats about the coming season, and the little nipper in the tent next to ours had the shirt from two seasons ago......however, nothing tops the Fijian bloke I met on a remote island in the Yasawas in Fiji wearing the hummel Denmark style shirt from the 80s....we are everywhere!!!

Elmander or Carew could easily do a job up front at Championship level and Upson is on a free....

agree entirely, would support any English team in Europe with one exception.....
