  2. You put the whole hand in, Ron, my twitch adds to the excitement so I'm told.
  3. Lovely jubly!
  4. What's the nun count been like on match day threads this season?
  5. Ramirez at Boro has got Saganowski written all over it.
  6. Cheeky git Line-acre!! We could easily afford Barca's forward line. Our owner is worth bazillions apparently ;-)

    Street names

In a related note, I often play the car number plate game. In a road two streets away from me there are two cars parked next to each other with last three letters of plate: JWP and SRL. Sad I know.
  8. No doubt aboot that Nepalm me old son.
  9. Imagine in 10 years time what the forum superstars will feel about themselves. I imagine stats of more than 60k posts on a forum about a football team.
  10. I hope he gets the job and goes back for Kane, Ali, Trippier, Aldervierald, Davis and anyone else who is any good. I hope their team is torn apart just as they are on the verge of greatness. I probably detest Spurs as much as I do the Skates!
  11. I was at the Reebok in Bolton to witness one of Benali's fine red cards. Near the dugouts, smashed someone up in the air, walked straight off down the tunnel. Brilliant. I think he (Franny) may of had his arm in a cast at the time too. You think this sort of thing is eradicated from the game, and certainly the football league/prem it has. However, take a trip to a non-league fixture and robust challenges that make you wince are still prevalent.
  12. Foot of the gas or Hammers taken control? Funny sort of half that. We didn't look in too much danger but also wasteful on occasion. Conditions probably not helping either. I wish Mane was that top 4 player he thinks he is... Drive into the box mush!!!!
  13. And Trippier notches.. Best player on the park for Spurs!!!
  14. Trippier for Spurs is playing as a winger effectively and arrowing cross after cross in. He's some player. MotM so far. Nil all but Spurs are a powerful, technical side. Poch has them playing superbly. Watford defending manfully at times but not able to get out at all.
  15. My overriding memory of him will be the feeling that we had somehow beaten Liverpool to this guys signature. I remember the scousers feeling miffed and suggesting we might be onto something big. The youth setup, the core of English players, the ability to buy talent from under the mighty Liverpool's noses. Alas it hasn't quite worked out like that although we're not a million miles away either. Of course we're unlikely to ever eclipse these uber elite teams but it's nice being competitive -relatively speaking. All the best Gaston... Thanks for the dreams - for this fan at least.
  16. I still rate it. It's not perfect all the time but generally I get to watch what I want. I do shout at the tele sometimes but then remind myself this isn't Sky or Virgin after all haha.
  17. My six months sportsmania subscription ran out and I can't remember the setup re sportsmania and the resurrected sportsnation. Could someone who is on the ball run it by me again before I re-subscribe, thanks. I am a kodi user on rasp pi if that makes a difference.
  18. Just picked my boy up from Taekwondo.. We belted out Moonage Daydream and Starman at full volume.. God knows what we must of looked like singing away haha. That guitar sound tho on Ziggy.. Proper classic sound that.. Buzz saw with super aggressive teeth on!!
  19. He already died mate in the late '60's. Horrific car crash I heard. The guy playing McCartney now is an imposter. Google it. It's all true.
  20. You might want to give media outlets a miss for the next few days then as otherwise you are going to be routinely annoyed. FWIW I do agree slightly to the outpouring of emotion that is ensuing and some of it is so bad it's repulsive. That's just the way media and social media in general is these days. I watched Lemmy's memorial service live on YouTube on Saturday.. That was a proper no-frills send off. Some old rockers telling stories and celebrating a life.. The way it should be. For example I switched on radio 4 at 7:05am this morning and thought it odd they were discussing Bowie. Then checked my Twitter feed on my phone and my heart sank. I then spent the 45 minute commute to my office channel hoping to hear his music as I knew every station on my dial would be playing it. I could do without Sara Cox and Chris Moyles talking sh*t tho so switched as soon as they piped up. Just ignore it is my advice. You wait until the Queen shuffles off.. You might want to take a vacation somewhere remote when that sh*t goes down. Still in shock here btw.
  21. Absolutely gutted. I grew up listening to his music firstly through my parents and the whole 70s era and then I took up the batton when they lost interest in the 80s. Being a self confessed music snob I often bore people with Bowie's unparalleled run of albums from Hunky Dory to Let's Dance. I discard Pin Ups for obvious reasons. Just think about that for a minute - 12 years and 11 albums that will never be matched in diversity or quality ever again. The above is obviously my completely biased opinion and does assume you like the Berlin/Eno trilogy which I know some don't rate for some reason. I listened to Blackstar a few times over the weekend and I think prefer it to The Next Day which I loved also. Gutted.
  22. I do like their Oooh arrrr we are Exeter chant.. Very good. Oakley playing the Libero role :-)
  23. Give over. There is nothing bizarre at all about how fans views have changed. He's been a shadow of the player he was last season.
  24. Great finish. Simple goal. Wonderful.
