  1. Not a fact at all. MP has denied making a bid. Although the form table since December puts as at 10th Frankly we have a decent team but gradually need to push on to the next level so in that respect every position needs looking at. One or two at a time though else the youth will not get their chance.
  2. Matt Targett
  3. Fair point and this has been offered as a reason for his inconsistency in Spain.
  4. Really? Very poor scoring rate for a striker. And £8m for someone who is not a First team regular seems a Lot of money
  5. Being right doesn't make it any less stupid.
  6. and Blackburn..... and Leicester.... (and Coventry... and Swindon... ). Strangely enough no one has mentioned Luton yet??
  7. Exactly my thoughts. Was brought in to get us over the line and he repaid us in spades. But he needs to be playing regular football and he's not going to get that here (not Forest it seems). Could see hime ending up back at Sheffield United to be honest.
  8. Was please with Wigan winning. It gives us one more team (Newcastle) that we can potentially overtake. Not worried about the teams below us at all.

    Jos

Weren't we already 1-0 up when jos went off? How can that be a turning point when we had 80% possession in the first 20 minutes??
  10. To be fair I felt more entertained in the Everton and Man City games. Less so QPR. Same team though. Just adapting to the new style so happy to give it time. I sense that we are on the cusp of an other great run.
  11. Given that most fans were happy to settle for 17th, It's difficult to understand the whining that is going on with us currently in 16th place.
  12. Who really cares. We are where we are.
  13. This. Play to the strength of the player. Much more effective than squeezing round pegs into square holes.
  14. Of course we do. Nigel is fully entitled to his pay for the remainder of his contract. The only debate is whether we pay it in one go or as a salary. Nowhere near the level of players wages so marginal impact. Not really sure of you point.
  15. I'm inclined to the view that this is a wind up. Otherwise why would you say he bleeds red and white when he is clearly a Burnley fan? Why would you suggest left back when that is already one of our strongest positions - Shaw (Fox) and in the not too distant future Shaw (Targett). Why would you suggest a player who is allegedly already in discussions with huddersfield Town over a loan move. Why bother.... ...if you're that lonely there are plenty of support groups to help.
  16. Damn. You beat me
  17. £6m would buy you half a Ramirez or 1.5 Delaps. So no.
  18. Tadanari Lee Ranking #9 - good up to the injury Maya Yoshida Ranking #4 - Has adapted well and is now a solid defender. Nathan Clyne Ranking #3 - Future England International. Very solid Steven Davis Ranking #5 - For experience, good impact player when we need to see a game out Jay Rodriguez Ranking #1 - Gets better and better Gaston Ramirez # Ranking 6 - will eventually be our best ever player (incl. MLT) but taking time to adapt to PL Paulo Gazziniga # Ranking 7 - Very skilful - needs time to develop Emmanuel Mayuka Ranking #11 - Clearly talented but yet to deliver Artur Boruk # Ranking 8 - complete nutter. Love him! Vegard Forren Ranking #10 - who knows? Billy Sharp Ranking #2 - got us over the line which was why he was bought Good business overall.
  19. Really not too worried in comparisons. Adkins has gone. MP is here. Team is pretty much the same and playing pretty much the same way. When they are on fire they look awesome but too often we look lethergic and lacking in imaginations. People complained under Adkins that they were unfit and NA had no plan B. Under MP they look tired and people complain MP has no plan B. I love that phrase. People have latched on to it whenever we lose thinking they are tactical geniuses. In reality we see shape and tactics changing regularly through the game to try and find a way to break them down - occassionally even changing overall formation. If people can't see that then they probably need to follow a different sport. MP is introducing a new traiing regime and some new ideas which will take time to settle. I'm as ****ed off as most about Saturday but we need to move on. for most of us. 17th place was quite OK this year. Still feel personally we will finish a lot higher than that.
  20. I think with Forren it was always said he would need time to adapt to English game. So why people are surprised he is not yet ready is a little beyond me.
  21. Which is a pretty dumb thing to say after just six games. Awful today yes.
  22. QPR will go down f'sure. They were awful today. But somehow we conspired to still gift them three points. Worst performance I've seen in three years or more.
  23. To the tune of day dream believer.... ..the old favourite..... Cheer up Harry Redknapp How bad can it be For a bent cockney bastard with a ****e football team....
  24. I love the way the doom mongers come on predicting a loss. Cue either 'told you so' comments or 'happy to be proved wrong - it was a good win' comments on sunday. I have no idea how anyone can genuinely see that. We are playing our best football for years (other than when we have a week off!!). By comparison QPR are a poor team with a crap manager. One decent player does not turn them into a threat of any magnitude. There is no way in the world that QPR will 'win' this. If they get the three points it will only be because we fail to deliver to our abilities which is a poor show when you are the home team with a passionate crowd behind you. Roll on Saturday. Really can't wait for this one.
  25. Surprised no one has mentioned Isgrove yet. Seager, Sinclair, Targett, Chambers, Stephens and Turnbull all looking good too
