This. They were in the corner between the. Kingsland and the chapel first half. Bloody annoying. Huge relief when they moved at half time.

Keep hoping he'll turn up on the u23 team list as part of his recovery, bit not yet. Anyone got any update? Is he training with the team yet?

FA Cup Qtr Final Saints v Wigan or Man City AWAy
Ken Tone replied to John Boy Saint's topic in The Saints
Named after the real 'pier' which was a little landing stage on the canal, for loading coal on to barges. Famous because of orwell's novel then used as a name for the area, museum, etc. -
I'm sorry, but that is nonsense. Ward prowse out in several excellent crosses, in the first half especially

We have to ..... The ruling for the allocation of away tickets in the Premier League is as follows: “3,000 tickets or, if the capacity of the home club’s stadium is less than 30,000, such number of tickets as is equal to 10 per cent.”

Not without the ear lobes, no!
-
That's more like it - a proper rumour! Just a pity there's. I description of his ear lobes.

Exactly. I think he is really underrated by many on here. To put his record in perspective, I *think* he is only 1 year older than Sam Gallagher, who we temd to consider still a youth , and we all hope is still going to develop into a top player, yet JWP is judged by 'grown up' first team standards and has been for several years.
-
Fair comment, but nonetheless, it is interesting to see that we had a bigger revenue than Everton . Guess those dugouts weren't that big an income stream after all.
-
I don't recall Beckham being very good in the air either, and whilst I'm not suggesting JWP is quite that good yet, he is the same sort of player. Just keep playing him on the right side of midfield/attack, and let him take the free kicks and corners.

It will indeed be about 'ransom'. They hold all the cards. They don't need to sell; we need to buy. They can keep saying no until the last minute of the window, to get as big as fee as they can.
-
Leave protests until the end of the game, or at least till the last 10 minutes or so if we're losing badly. We we need to win this game, and what little chance we have will be made even less if the crowd get on the players' backs.... And the bloody annoying spurs fans will love it if the crowd is protesting before or during the game.
-
So so why the delay ? Why not earlier, and why not now?
-
think I've got it even worse than you. I even keep checking the Theo Walcott thread in the pathetic hope that he's coming to us after all. i am gobsmacked that we haven't signed someone yet .
-
Just the wages and fee to sort then?! Fee of £20-30 million seems feasible, given he is a 28 year old England international who scored 19 goals least season I think, and we can afford that (though are we prepared to pay it?). But wages ..... he's reportedly on well over £100k a week and I can't see us matching that, whereas I can see Everton doing so, so unless he's desperate to stay in the south, we've no chance. If he does come here for less than he'd get at Everton, then he deserves a proper welcome from the fans.

Sorry Saint mike .....meant to reply to Leo-arg's comment , not yours

They're really not you know . Ward prowse on the right provides crosses that Davis couldn't, and he gives us a specialist dead ball kicker. Davis is a runner, a different sort of player, and one who is going through a period of bad form. Change Boufal for Davis during the game and we'd be close to the best side we can put out at the moment with no Austin available and Gabbiadini out of form. Of cof course we ought to have signed a centre forward by now, but that's a different story.

Winchester City v Saints U23s Senior Cup Qtr Finals
Ken Tone replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Olomola back I see. Wonder if he'll get a look in at first team level whilst Austin is out? -
Wow! Predictive text! Money entomology = momentum!
-
Any actual news of someone coming in before the game at Watford? I understand players like Walcott are likely to sign at the end of the window, if at all, but surely we need some fresh money entomology for this weekend?
-
And he's only 28. Some on here seem to think he's a geriatric!
-
Well he may be pit of favour at Arsenal, but he is an England international and ,in spite of some on here speaking as if he is a has-been, he is only 28. So,given the ridiculous transfer fee inflation of recent years, a fee of £30 million isn't so silly. But as ive said before. I think his wages are more of a problem for us than the transfer fee. If he plays well, he'll soon be worth more than £30million at today's prices, so we'd recover his fee if/when we sell, but we'd never get back his wages AND paying him a lot would unsettle the rest of the team.
-
that would be good news if correct, because I'd have thought wages were the bigger problem, rather than the transfer fee. He's on over 100k a week at Arsenal I believe .
-
same thing occurred to me.
-
Sunday Times report calls him 'excellent', and rated him a 9. Maybe it's about time our fans appreciated that he is actually quite a good player?
